Foreign Minister and Yisrael Beitenu head Avigdor Lieberman called Sunday for a change of tack regarding peace talks with the Palestinian Authority (PA), and said that peace is not in the offing.
"To continue to insist on a path that failed for 15 years will not lead anywhere and unfortunately today we are already on the same path for 18 years, in the same dead end, and worse than this with desperation and frustration that continue to grow," Lieberman said at a conference of foreign delegates.
"What needs to be clear to everyone is that this is not an effort by the Palestinians to reach peace but rather an effort by them to create facts on the ground and internationalize the conflict that is, [they say] 'no' at any cost to direct negotiations and [strive to negotiate] only through international institutes and forums." The key words in the relations with the PA should be "conflict management" and not "conflict solution," he explained. "Whoever says that in the coming years, we can reach peace with the Palestinians is wrong and misleads others."
Lieberman stressed that no territorial concession will solve the core issues of security, Jerusalem and refugees. "The only thing that will change here if we return to the [1949] borders is that the Kassam and Grad fire will not just emanate from Gaza toward the southern communities but also from Kalkilya to Gush Dan." Lieberman blasted PA boss Mahmoud Abbas (Abu Mazen) for meeting the sadistic terrorist who took part in the murder of Ofir Rachum.

You mean, Barack Hussein Obama is wrong and misleads others? My world is shattered. He said "yes we can (mislead others)".
It is refreshing to hear someone speak the truth.
Yep! You nailed it. Well, he nailed it, and you had the sense to realize he was dead right. Kudos to you both.
In a way it’s sort of like us needing to recognize that comity with the Democrat party isn’t going to win us anything.
Conflict management, not comity...
The best way to assure peace with the Palestinians is to be sure there are a lot less Palestinians.
If I were Israel, I would have given the Palestinians a cutoff date by which they would negotiate in good faith. If they did not comply, I would start moving them off the West Bank and Gaza. Then I’d simply occupy the place and be done with it.
It has been nearly 65 years since a resolution was devised so both Israel and the Palestinians would have a homeland they could call their own.
Israel has tried to live in peace. The Palestinians have tried to destroy Israel.
This has to end at some point.
No peace until Messiah returns.
The below link to the video ties into the Krauthammer piece also noted. The video does a good job of putting the efforts for peace into perspective.

I already knew some of the history and went to my past letters and a lot of sources to verify the information. Now a lot of the sources are Wikipedia, but I ended up listing them instead of many others I looked at that were narrower in their focus. I started making notes and it turned into the 2,000 plus word narrative.

Yeah, Droopy nailed it.
Welcome 2 reality, fkhd.
But why “manage” conflict with the PA. The Palis themselves hate them and they are so crooked they have to screw on their jock straps. Kick out the PA. Annihilate Hamas. Let the dust settle, and slowly work towards annexation of Judah and Samaria, then the resettlement and eventual annexation of Ghaza.
If Obozo is reflected , he’ll pull a Clinton and send axelrod yms, et al to undermine Bibi to get a quisling to enact pro Arab policies.
Do the entire world a favor, then, and do not allow this clown to be reelected. Campaign aggressively, raise funds, make firey speeches, and above all else, nominate someone who can beat him, who excites voters, who is eloquent and feisty and ideologically unambiguous. In 2008, the electorate could plead ignorance, that they were mesmerized by his mannerisms and media hype. But there are no more excuses. We all know the enemy.
Now another minister has weighed in: http://www.israelnationalnews.com/News/News.aspx/151071
Minister Yuli Edelstein says as long as Arabs invest in terror, there will be no peace.

We’re trying, but it’s a two-front war: Zer0 and the Establishment Left on one front, and Mittens and the country-club GOP on the other. Going to be messy, you betcha.
Sometimes Joe gets it, other times he can’t resist his liberal genetics. Too bad he isn’t conservative as his ability to think rationally would be an asset - He would already be better than a few of the RINOs we have “representing” us.
The only way to achieve peace is through the defeat of evil. That’s the way it has always been and always will be.
