And so it begins. That short journey back to the 7th Century.

And they’d be having this disagreement if US soldiers were here.

With cursory knowledge of the situation.. I wonder wouldn't it be something if Sunni Turkey backed the Kurds (and all the Sunni Iraqis) against Baghdad (Shi'a Iran influences Baghdad maybe)?

It's the Kurdish Workers Party (PKK) Marxist terrorists that Ankara has to combat not the Kurdish Regional government of Iraq.

Eh could be worse, the Sunni could be holding the prime minster. At least right now hes in the hands of an impartial 3rd party the Kurds.

Frankly it seems likely the man is guilty as charged.

The problem is that Turkey and Iran occupy large portions of Kurdistan.

Iran is determined to exterminate the Kurds and Turkey will help as they hate them for their independance and spunk.

Plus they both want to keep the stolen land.

Meanwhile, while the Iraqi government is quibbling about who is in control, Iran will take over.

Kinda simplictic, but that's IMO.

Trying to set-up a “sovereign, stable, and self-reliant Iraq” was our first mistake. This portion of the world has no history of this and thinking that we could create the conditions for one to flourish was folly. Let’s face it their current culture, Islam, is one fraught with lying, cheating and back-stabbing. It’s like having an entire nation of people with the same ethics as those in DC.

Kurds need to inform Malaiki "nuts to you!"

This pos can't even venture outside of the "green zone" for fear of his life from his own people.

The idea of his inditing Sunni leader is pure posturing (trying to look good to his Iranian buddies.)
