Despite Newt Gingrich's own admission that his campaign was "scrambling" to get on the ballot in Virginia, it looks like he will make the cut after all.

"Passed req 10K signatures in VA, 600 from each district. On the way to 15K. Join us in Arlington Wed & Richmond Thurs," his campaign tweeted just now.

I find this so irresponsible. He has been running for President since August or was it April. Anyway everyone else except Perry was able to get all 50 states. Perry and Newt should drop out and drag Paul and Romney with them.

I live in Maryland and so we get Virginia news and guess what? The deadline is TOMORROW. So while the rest are in Iowa going from town to town, Newt is in Virginia begging for signatures in Arlington today and Richmond tomorrow. I swear he said he was going to hit all 99 counties in Iowa by Christmas.....how the heck is that going to happen. I tell you one thing it took Santorum a long time to hit all 99 counties. Newt is a mess and so disorganized!!!!!

He is a multi-millionaire.....he easily could have given himself a loan and get it paid back later. I mean don’t act like he is a pauper for goodness sake.

Well, in 2008 Duncan Hunter didn’t get enough signatures. And frankly, in Virginia republicans will generally sign for any candidate — I signed for Cain at my election polling place.

But it would be a bad thing not to qualify. And in fact I’m waiting for certification before I make any decision about who to support. I will not have to support a candidate who isn’t on my ballot.

I’m also curious to see who Ken Cuccinelli and Bob McDonnell end up endorsing. They both would move some votes in our state. Bolling is our 3rd state-wide republican, but he already endorsed Romney like he did in 2008, so that’s not much help.

Plenty of people are worth a million or two.....If you killed me tomorrow...I'm worth that.

Doesn't mean you have a war chest to fight a guy that has a "WAR CHEST".

You have no idea the amount of money it takes to run a POTUS campaign.

Answer me this...What did McCain spend total. Primary and POTUS run? Off the top of your head...can you do it???

Why wasn’t he on the ballot already?

I’m surprised he has not been called out as “not being a serious candidate.”

Newt doesn't have much of a warchest because he blew the money he did have early in the campaign and now is in massive debt. Yes, when you send him your hard-earned $25, it is going to creditors, not so much to campaigning.

Gingrich fighting massive debt racked up in campaign's extravagant early days.

Why he would spend that kind of money when his polling was in the toilet is hard to understand.

Nothing like waiting until the last minute!

Have to wonder about the process.

Do you konw how they are obtaining these signatures? Are they standing in front of Giant or what?

It’s one thing to collect signatures near the polls on an election day.

"I find this so irresponsible. He has been running for President since August or was it April...."

If he makes the deadline, who gives a $h!t? It's not a race to get on the ballot. This is a non-issue but one that you and others will demagogue.

Hiya napscoordinator!!!

I think Newt Gingrich lives in Virginia and that he’s going home for Christmas, so that’s likely another reason he will be in Richmond on Thursday. He’s still in Iowa today.

A most Blessed and Merry CHRISTmas to you and your wonderful family!!!! (I post your wife’s name). I trust you’re in FL!

Ping. Two smartest men in the world—after the Usurping Marxist Onada— missed a whole state. I wonder what they would miss as presidents.

That's the GOP-E plan! Buy the nomination for Romney. He's outspending Gingrich $35-1, and "IF" I had $10K to bet, I would wager Romney ups the ante!

I would guess 24 million. That is off the top of my head. Not sure how much he spent.

What does “Multi-Millonaire” mean today? You think that is “Rich”?

Gosh, what is wrong being a “Multi-Millonare”. I want to be surrounded by them.

You must be a 99%’ter.
