A holiday display at Travis Air Force Base in Fairfield might inspire a seasonal spirit in some viewers, but it's stirring up less-than-jolly resentment in others.
The Military Religious Freedom Foundation, a national group, has written to the base, arguing that the display's inclusion of a large menorah and nativity scene implies an endorsement of some religions. The display also includes other items, including reindeer, Christmas trees and airplanes.

The Military Religious Freedom Foundation is based out of New Mexico. How could they be offended by a Nativity scene in California? Long distance outrage?

This country is being destroyed by the “drip, drip” method. We have got to stop this destruction of our christian foundation. Doubt if elections are going to do it.

I guess, with a name like that, and the complaint they filed, they don’t understand irony.

Two things come to mind:
1. In the words of Mr. Spock in Star Trek Whatever, “The needs of the many, outweigh the needs of the few.”
2. Merry @#$%! Christmas. I am really sick and tired of this church and state stuff. Wish they would read the founding documents.

There is no freedom of religion clause in the Constitution. Are these people complete idiots? I guess so.

It looks like the anti-DADT crowd has taken over the military.

Trying to stamp out all religion is the opposite of religious freedom, isn’t it? That group has the wrong name.

Sue the Executive Branch, then. Having a Ramma Damma Ding Dang dinner, "... implies an endorsement of some religions". This bogus assault on everything to do with Christmas and Christianity cuts both ways. The people pushing their anti-Christian need to be sliced into pieces with their own little game. All sorts of things the liberals go along with can be construed as "implying support of some religions", in particular the various politicians who speak at "churches" in order to look like they give a dang about "faith", giving the UN money to preserve various religious sites world wide, and a ton of other things that are used to launder money the fascist party passes out to their faithful friends.
Every time anyone in any branch of the government warns about "Islamophobia" someone needs to take them to court for, "... implying support of some religions". JMHO

YUP— and in my opine -for what it’s worth it began its encroachment during them Vietnam War Games when SOG began staring at goats—and the Navy had its hand in the far thinking-and the LSD experiments et all. We have allowed our
Military to encourage all manner of evil and have NOT encouraged the foundational principles of Religion/Morality /and Knowledge as those terms were understood when adopted.Sad part is George Washington is not here to lead the sheep, and we are no longer a nation of freemen.
