It would be nice to read some truthful comments about Glenn Beck and his Newt Gingrich comments instead of these smears and lies.

Beck said he would vote for Bachmann.

I admit it may help Romney but not if all the conservatives would choose to unite their votes behind her.

Then she would beat Romney and Newt.

The keyword there being “if” voters united behind Michele Bachmann.

They haven’t. If and until that happens, a vote for Michele Bachmann, Rick Perry, or anyone else is a vote for Mitt Romney. By attacking Newt before we have a more suitable replacement lined up, we’re going to split the vote enough to give ourselves the only candidate who’s worse than he is.

There are no smears or lies involved in saying that Glenn Beck and Michael Savage have been destructive to the conservative movement because they fail to grasp this simple concept.

Willard Romney the open socialist MUST be defeated, just as Barack Obama the open socialist MUST be defeated. If we can’t unite to defeat socialism in the primaries, how on earth will we do it in the general election?

Show me the polls that speak to another candidate’s rise and I’ll happily throw Newt to the dogs. Until then, he’s our best bet.
