Why Won't Glenn Beck Praise Newt for "Invented Palestine" comments in favor of Israel?
12/15/2011 | Ralph Mitchell

Beck is making a fool of himself going hard against Newt, with no on-air rebuttals on GBTV.com or Beck Radio allowed. His credibility is now severely damaged. Also, notice that Beck did not mention or emphasize Newt's defense of Israel, via Newt's true statement that "Palestinian" is an invented term for the Arab people in the Middle East. Can someone get a question to Beck on Newt's loyalty to Israel, which is important to Beck?

I unsubscribed from his GBTV this AM. I’m a Perry person and not a fan of Newt — but Beck’s mention of third party/Paul turned me off. That is the last thing we need in 2012.

He knows a vote for Bachmann, or anyone other than Gingrich, is a vote for Romney.

Sadly, the longer he is in Mormonism the more the Mormon mentality will take over. We have already seen his phrasing change and more and more of his Mormon beliefs slip in. I am pretty sure this is what is happening, cognitive disconnect can drive you crazy.

Because Beck wants his little Mormon Messiah to win to fit his end of world fantasy

I've never heard him praise Mittens to any extent on his radio show. As a matter of fact, he slams him regularly. He has said very recently that he would vote Ron Paul 3rd party though.

And you believe him? I don’t not at all. BTW, he also said he would vote for Ron Paul the other day...

Didn’t realize Santorum and Bachmann were Mormons.

“Beck said 2 weeks ago if his primary were held today, he would support Michele Bachmann.”

Wasn’t there another thread where it said he was for Ron Paul???

This is becoming a mess of gargantuan proportions...just give the damn Democrat the next four years...I see nobody who can go up against him and win. For all of you Gingrichers who think he is the next "white hope" in the debates - get real - the only thing Obama knows how to do is campaign and debate...he will CRUSH Newt in any debate.

For the two and a half years he was on Fox, Beck spent hundreds upon hundred of hours railing against two American political figures above all others: Woodrow Wilson and Franklin Delano Roosevelt — with Theodore Roosevelt getting an honorable mention as the man who poisoned the Republican Party with the progressive cancer and started us on the road to one-party tyranny.

Newt Gingrich considers himself a Teddy Roosevelt Republican and a “Wilsonian realpolitik”. He also refers to FDR as the greatest American President of the 20th Century often and without hesitation.

So basically, Newt models himself after the three men Beck has consistently cited as the most evil men to hold the office of the presidency in the 20th Century. The only people who could possibly be surprised at Beck’s reaction to Gingrich’s ascendancy are people who weren’t actually listening to what Glenn Beck has been saying all this time.

As far as the Mormon stuff goes, Beck is not supporting Romney, nor has he given Huntsman (whose father he adores) the time of day. He believes Bachmann and Santorum are the two strongest conservatives in the field.

Wasn’t there another thread where it said he was for Ron Paul???

He said if Gingrich got the nomination, he might have to consider Paul if he were running third-party. He then walked it back a bit and said how dangerous Paul was, how horribly wrong he was on Israel and the Middle East and how Paul's foreign policy would end up getting us all killed. He concluded with (and I'm paraphrasing) "If it comes down to those choices, I'll be on my knees praying... because I won't know what to do".

Not exactly an enthusiastic endorsement of Ron Paul. It was more of an emphatic anti-Gingrich statement.

Beck supports Bachmann, that is the truth......

Oh, he also mentioned Rick Santorum as a good candidate.

I purchased a whole year of his GBTV thinking it was going to be a good deal. I love history. I love old tv shows. The thought of there being a new source for news made me optimistic.

I canceled my subscription just over a month ago when the creep started bashing Perry for no particular reason. All he talked about was how happy he was to be moving to Texas and he bashes my governor? About the vaccine which Perry never forced on anyone. About immigration. He appeared to be promoting Romney which doesn’t bother me but he seemed to be intentionally divisive. Flexing muscle. Talk seemed to be encouraging a third party. I now think he’s nuts. When I canceled, I was not allowed a refund. They just said they wouldn’t bill me next year. That’s okay. I don’t listen to him on the radio anymore either. I sleep better not being constantly reminded about gold I can’t buy. I also don’t worry about buying survival food for my neighbors. I have to admit that I listen to all talk radio less and less each day. Between freedom concerts and blueberry tea, gold and pet shelters, books books books, I figure I can filter my own news on FR and be better informed.

It would be nice to read some truthful comments about Glenn Beck and his Newt Gingrich comments instead of these smears and lies.

Beck said he would vote for Bachmann.

I admit it may help Romney but not if all the conservatives would choose to unite their votes behind her.

Then she would beat Romney and Newt.

I share some of Beck’s concern when it comes to Newt.

Ask yourself this. If we give him the Whitehouse, will we get the old progressive liberal Newt, or the new one that has been telling conservatives what they want to hear.

If we get the new Newt...GREAT!

If we get the old Newt, America is done.

That to me is one Hell of a gamble and I wouldn’t be so quick to chastise Glenn Beck, the man is right more often then not.
