Who cares whether they are invented or not? Newt remains a Global Warmist RINO with whom the Karl Rove Republicans as well as the Dims are comfortable. It is because of this comfort that he is not attacked like Herman Cain was attacked.

bull, he says he favors the two least likely to get the nomination now, so that he can seem to reluctantly switch to Romney later and not look like the hack mormon that he is.

But he doesn’t full me a bit.

I listen to Beck from 6 am until 9 each weekday, thanks. Newt’s interview with him recently disturbed me about Newt’s progressive leanings, which made me realize that Perry needs to be supported and not given up on. Beck is doing like some here do — if someone doesnt agree 100%, the other person is branded RINO.

All the people who surround him are afraid to tell him he is acting like an idiot.

A former Mormon would do us all a favor to tell us where Mormon theology would come down of such a thing as their understanding of the status and relevance of Israel.

Also on things like abortion, homosexuality, etc.

This morning (Thursday, 12/15), Rudy Guiliani was on Fox praising Newt’s ability to get things done when Rudy was Mayor of NYC and Clinton was President. Rudy put Newt in the same class of other politicians such as Reagan who had courage and the ability to cut deals in order to get 70 to 80 percent of what they want in legislation. Rudy praised Newt for writing a Crime bill, including 100,000 policemen for NYC, which enabled Rudy to clean up NYC....Remember how NYC was under Dinkens? Also, Margaret Thatcher once said Newt Gingrich was a politician who had “tons of guts”. Beck should air rebuttals on-air on radio and GBTV. Without rebuttals, Beck loses all credibility.

What is all this crap about Glenn Beck lately? He is unimportant. Just ignore him, like everybody else does.

I'll tell you why, because so many people, some Freepers included, fell into some kind of love for the guy. This happens all the time with celebrities and public figures. Obama, Beck, Cain, Palin. Then when those people fail, by being imperfect, it freaks folks out.

I haven't paid attention to him in 5 years. He stopped being fun.

I doubt it. Obama knows how to campaign - no argument there - but debate?

Obama might "win" the debates the same way Reagan and GWB did, by NOT losing too badly. Remember, its a game of expectations.

Actually, if you want to draw comparisons to ‘08, Romney has become McCain and Gingrich has become Romney. It’s Mitt’s turn to be the next in line and Newt is trying to position himself as the conservative alternative.

Tell me, Mike, how do you propose to defeat the open socialist Willard Romney? Which other candidate is consistently within striking distance?

Romney has enough baggage to fill a passenger jet. He’s taken every position imaginable and, to this day, cannot speak without talking out of both sides of his mouth. The media will draw endless comparisons between Romneycare and Obamacare to paint him as a hypocrite, and Obama will proudly proclaim that Romneycare was his inspiration. Then there’s the matter of John Holdren, Obama’s maniacal science czar who used to work with Romney on environmental policy.

But above all else, the real problem with Romney’s candidacy is that he’s incapable of taking liberals to task because he’s afraid he’ll muss up his perfectly manicured hand. He’s a political featherweight in the very image of John McCain.

Isn’t Odd that Beck recently had Newt on the radio for a “Gotcha” interview, but Beck has not had Romney on the radio for a similar “Gotcha” interview. It appears that Romney was Beck’s choice all along.

I also pinged some other ex-Mo’s.

I will tell you what I was taught as a Mormon. Mormonism is the TRUE remnant of Israel and the Mormon church (mostly Utah) is “Zion”. Most Mormons, when they get their “Patriarchal Blessing” are told they are descended from (usually) the tribe of Ephraiam or Menassah. Early Mormon prophets taught (and many LDS still believe) that there is a ‘spiritual blood transfusion’ that takes place at baptism making Mormons Israel.

One of the favorite LDS hymns is called “Israel, Israel, God is Calling” - which was a favorite of British converts coming to America and “Zion”. http://www.onlymormon.com/Hymns/7/

Mormons, in essence, believe in a replacement theology regarding Israel, so Beck’s ‘love’ of Israel means something altogether different in his religion than he is letting on.

Regarding Abortion - the LDS “Church handbook of Instructions” states that abortion is OK if approached in prayer and ‘confirmed’ by God (through burning in the bosom).

Regarding Homosexuality - LDS Church has taken a much easier stance lately, so much so I expect to see a revelation OKing it in the next 10 years or so (just like Blacks and the priesthood in 1978). They came out in support of gay rights in SLC last year and this year gave an openly gay man a position of power (stake secretary).

I have a bet with another freeper that before Super Tuesday, Beck will throw all of his support behind Mitt.

Beck knows that it is too early and he can change his mind at any time and he will.

This supposed ‘support’ for Bachmann, Santorum, and Paul is just a ruse - he is in the tank for Mitt. I’d bet his ‘holy underwear’ on it.

I am an ex-mormon, now a non-denominational Christian.

The many different doctrines taught about Isreal by the over 100 sects of the Mormon Cult is a web of confusion.

In general, though, they believe that America is the "promised land" and "new Isreal" and "Zion", that the new temple that Christ returns to and rules from will be a Mormon temple located in Missouri, that Christ is a Mormon rather than a jew, and that mormons are the "chosen People" rather than Jews, and oh yeah, when Christ returns with his legions of angels they'll be carrying the american flag.

Now is typically the time in my discussions where breakaway lds sect mormons come in (like Romney or Reid) and call me a liar, deny, and spin....They should be warned, I'm prepared to show everything I've just said to be true with referenced quotes from their own sources.

Could happen, OR Beck could leave the cult. His emotions and occasional crying tell me he really believes all that Ezra Taft Benson doctrine. There is a HUGE rift in the church right now between the patriotic Benson Wing and the marxist Reid/Romney/Monson. He'll either betray his principles because he believes his God(s) changed, or leave the church.

Pray for him. We could wind up with a famous addition to the Inmans.

Everything you two have said makes me understand why Harry Reid, big liberal, can be a mormon in good standing.

Which is bigger to Harry, Mitt, Huntsman, Orrin Hatch, etc., their Mormon affiliation or their party affiliation?

MORMON! BY FAR. They are all temple mormons and as such have taken blood oaths to use all their time talents and money to the building up of the Mormon church.

I can provide the exact wording if you wish.

Thier "Temple Recommend" is everything to a Mormon. It is literally your pass into heaven. It is given only after strict interviews and tithing "audits".

Reid has openly bashed Cold War "prophets" doctrines, said "David O McKay and Ezra Taft Benson led the church down the wrong path while addressing BYU with current leadership approval, then brags about holding a temple recommend. This speaks VOLUMES. Here current LDS cult leaders Monson and Oaks are hangin out with Reid and their other buddy....After the BYU address.

The hard left turn in the breakaway LDS sect of the mormon cult is coming from the very top.

I am praying for him, but TBH the only way I see him leaving is if he and his wife divorce. She is the reason he converted, if she is out of the picture, then he will be more open to leaving.

Sad but true.
