Yes he did but all that means is that Reagan wasn't good enough for the squinty-eyed paranoids here who would rather have four more years of Obama than a Newt presidency.

It is precisely because I don't want four more years of Obama that I am opposed to McNewt. Did you not learn anything from 2008? If we field a conservative candidate, we win. If we field Democrat-lite, we lose. Why settle for GingrichCare when you can have ObamaCare? Why settle for a milder version of amnesty under Gingrich when you can have full-blown amnesty under Obama? And why settle for someone who worships FDR when you can actually have FDR with Obama?

This is our one chance to get a conservative in the White House. Yet we are already punting on first down.
