Ron Paul Insures the Tea Party Message is Not Dead!
Yahoo News ^ | Dec. 6th, 2011 | Sherry Tomfeld

So-called leaders of the Tea Party faction chose to speak for all members when they dissed Herman Cain. The very thought that a Tea Party can have one leader goes against everything that I and others believe in. Sarah Palin and Michele Bachmann are voices of the Tea Party, the message is the true leader of the party.

In Paul’s hands it’s not dead, it’s just gone kooky like the one in “Alice In Wonderland.”

Ron Paul is too nuts on foreign policy for me to vote for him.

Ron Paul is the antithesis of the tea party. He did not start the tea party, and in this last Gallop poll, he only gets 8% support from tea party supporters.

Ron Paul is not carrying the banner of the tea party, he is carrying the banner of the libertarians--they are not the same.

I love the semi-literate headline writers at Yahoo. Unless Ron Paul is no selling insurance it should be “Ensures”.

Totally bears repeating, Thank you

The man is totally brain dead. If he could articulate half as good as anyone else he would be running away with this thing. BTW...they seem to leave out that the foreign entanglements the founders talked about were treaties and things like the UN and Nato, etc. The founders where clear that a strong Navy and firm militia was essential for defense. Yet Paul seems to forget that even before we became a nation we entangled ourselves with France. That caused us some suffering in the years to come.

Every domestic policy is constant. Foreign policy is not since countries cannot be trusted since their governments change.

Bingo!

If you look at the polls, there is actually and INVERSE relationship between the Tea Party and Ron Paul. The more strongly you identify with the Tea Party movement, the LESS likely you are to be a Ron Paul supporter.

Ron Paul is a capital-L Libertarian. Tea Partiers are (for the most part) Reagan style conservatives. While they may have some common ground on financial issues, there is a huge gulf between Libertarians and Reagan-conservatives on a host of other issues.

To put it bluntly (and burst the Paul supporter’s bubble):

(1) Cain supporters are NOT going to move to Paul.
(2) If Gingrich falters, his supporters are NOT going to Paul.
(3) In the cycle we’re seeing where one conservative after another rises then falls, Ron Paul is never going to get a turn as the top guy—NEVER. Rick Santorum would rise to the top before Ron Paul.

Sorry, but that’s just the way it is. Paul’s non-economic positions are anathema to Reagan-conservatives, which make up the vast majority of Tea Partiers.

Why would he do that? His actions on earmarks put lie to his words on earmarks. He may vote against them, but he takes one of the largest amounts for his district. This is not TEA Party thinking as someone has to foot the bill.

Protest all you like but Ron Paul libertarians have been a major part of tea party gatherings across the nation from the beginning. I know this from attending a tea party, looking around the ‘net and testimony of FRiends.

Ron Paul’s Campaign for Liberty takes pride in infiltrating Republican clubs, running libertarian candidates as Republicans and being a visible, vocal presence at TP events.

Rand Paul’s election to Senate is the pride of the Tea Party, is it not?

Also, most Tea Partiers proudly claim that Republicans are but a MINORITY of their numbers and point to “independents, democrats, libertarians and others” as their particpants.

That’s funny. Ron Paul made clear he hates the Tea Party. He’s a one man show with a slew of amorals and anarchists smashing everything in his wake. Bring ‘er down, baby!

BTW, did anyone catch ole Ron Paul slaming OWS as a tool of the Dem Party like the did the Tea Party? I didn’t.
