I don’t know why there was such bad blood between Cain and Perry.

No doubt there could have been some underhandedness (hey. I made up a new word!)

But the attacks could well have come from Romney..or (gasp) Bachmann.

It started when Cain said he would pick anyone except Perry for VP. Then he went on to basically call Perry a racist. Perry never said anything negative about Cain.

I agree. While Bachmann has a great pedigree she has so little experience that she tends to sway with the wind. She needs to spend more time in the congress. We need a strong voice there. Or attorney general. The thing that made Cain viable was his executive experience.
