“From Tea Partier to Occupier …”

So, the “Occupy” movement has wormed its way into Temecula. Not surprising. This area has been a haven for the workers, defenders and producers of society. Moochers suckling off the nanny state are never far behind wealth creators. It’s akin to fleas hopping around to keep up with a prized hunting dog.

The disingenuous mainstream media equates the “Occupy” movement to the Tea Party movement. The two groups couldn’t be more different, in both values and personal hygiene.

Even the name of this movement, “Occupy” is strange. How many of these same “Occupy” protesters were just a few years ago calling George Bush a Nazi for “occupying” countries like Afghanistan and Iraq? With squatting now apparently a new form of hobo property rights, it’s very odd indeed to see “Occupy” protesters imitate maligned “occupiers” like Bush 43.

Putting aside such questions here are some useful life lessons, from tea partier to “occupiers”:

· Life isn’t fair.

Get used to it. Some people are born with creativity or work hard learning complex skills putting them heads and shoulders above the rest. These wealth creators should be admired and emulated and not targeted for economic destruction. In the heyday of the 1960’s the rock band The Rolling Stones produced the now famous song “You Can’t Always Get What You Want”. “Occupy” protesters need to take this song to heart.

· Nothing is free.

You are not entitled to the fruits of somebody else’s labor. Demands for free healthcare and free college education mean that somebody else pays for your freeloading. Try demanding that your college instructor or personal physician forego their paychecks and work for free. What quality of education or medical care would you have then? The late Nobel economist Milton Friedman summed it up best … “There is no such thing as a free lunch.”

· Nobody owes you a job.

You will not make a six figure salary right out of high school or even college. A dubious liberal arts degree in art history or gender studies does not entitle you to a corner office overlooking the downtown skyline. Flipping hamburgers is not beneath your dignity. Your grandparents considered such work an opportunity. In addition, if you expect to be hired then you need to bathe, remove those facial piercings and cover up your tattoos. Employers seek workers who will be good representatives for their company, not drug addicted street urchins carrying venereal diseases.

Lastly, carrying around signs reading “Why Socialism For The Rich & Capitalism For The Poor?” and “End Corporate Greed” further illustrates your ignorance about economics and freedom. Rather than advocating socialism for both rich and poor, you should demand the end of nanny state welfare programs, corporations included.

And concerning corporate greed … corporations exist to sell you something, like soap. Government, on the other hand seems to want ever more power and control over our lives. An accurate sign would read “End Government Greed.”

School is out. Now you “occupiers” scamper along, become productive, and please bathe.

This is what I say to any lib espousing "human rights v.2" eg., health care, education, housing, ect.

For a five thousand dollar investment, you can have you’d own landscaping business. An hour or two per customer every two weeks, earn a typical 50 dollars, with minimal manual labor. Hire some friends, have them do the work and collect a fee, and you cut out the manual labor part.

Same investment, you could start a cleaning company for businesses.
