Massachusetts considering ban on Romney records
By Mark Hosenball | Reuters – Tue, Nov 29, 2011

BOSTON (Reuters) - Massachusetts officials are reviewing a 14-year-old state court ruling to determine whether they should ban public access to paper records generated by leading Republican presidential contender Mitt Romney when he was the state's governor.

Officials said the review, revealed to Reuters, began after they received a surge of requests for records from Romney's governorship. It was not prompted by a request from Romney camp, they said.

The review follows reports by the Boston Globe newspaper last week that just before Romney left the governor's office in 2007, 11 of his top aides purchased their state-issued computer hard drives and internal emails from Romney's administration were wiped from a state server.

Republican and Democratic foes of Romney say the email scrub and questions about whether the public should have access to Romney's gubernatorial papers undermine efforts to assess his dealings as a politician and elected official.

Maybe he called the little Kenyan Marxist, Barry Soetoro, and asked him how to get rid of past evidence. Nobody does it better than him. Romney and Barry are both scumbags.

Insanity. Why wouldn’t the records be public?

Big Mistake. This is pretty much an admission of wrong-doing. Now EVERYONE is going to speculate on what he is hiding. Could be a lot worse than just letting the truth out.

First parry from Obama? Are the Dems muscling Mass to seal the records thus igniting a firestorm of controversy?

Funny how this didn’t harm Obama one bit.

“Insanity. Why wouldn’t the records be public?”

I can think of lots of reasons. None of them are good, but there are lots of valid reasons. Perhaps that is the early indicator for each New World Order President of the United States. Look for the most manufactured, malleable, patently false politician whose records are suddenly wiped clean. A new standard for new times.

Dark days. Dark as Hell.

Why is this legal? The records are the people’s records and should be available for review unless the information within them could impact national security.

This is BS on a stick.

This is leftist rope-a-dope. Locking up his records benefits people who want to make it look like the decision is coming from Romney. It’s insulation from the charge that the Kenyan Marxist has been hiding stuff.

If this is true, THIS IS GREAT NEWS!!! All the other GOP Primary candidates need to ask Mitt: “What is the State of Massachusetts helping you hide Mitt?”

Transparency, Freedom of Information Act, Sun Shine Laws are there to give the peons (taxpayers) access to the workings of elected officials. Who of course are held to higher standards than the average voter.

The IRS can go back as many years as they like, yet with the stroke of a pen government records are sealed.

Being a member of the elite does have its perks.

When a Left Wing Socialist state like Massachoochoo tries to help a ‘republican’ by hiding his record, it tells you all you need about Romney.

I don't remember hiding government records being a "bad thing" back when Howard Dean did it before he ran for President.
