Pornography, Prostitution will Surge if Women Drive: Saudi Clerics

A "scientific" report published in Saudi Arabia has claimed that lifting the ban on women drivers would result in "no more virgins".

The report also warned that such a move would also make more Saudis, both men and women, turn to homosexuality and pornography. The study also predicted a surge in prostitution and divorce.

Such startling conclusions were drawn by Muslim scholars at the Majlis al-Ifta' al-A'ala, Saudi Arabia's highest religious council, working in conjunction with Kamal Subhi, a former professor at the King Fahd University, according to the Daily Mail.

The study was made to assess the possible impact of repealing the ban in Saudi Arabia. The country is the only place in the world where women are not allowed to drive a vehicle.

The report was submitted to all 150 members of the Shura Council, the legislative body.

Within 10 years of the ban being lifted, the scholars said, there would be "no more virgins" in the Islamic kingdom.

The religious group pointed to is visible "moral decline" in other Muslim countries where women are allowed to drive.

"All the women were looking at me," Subhi writes of how women behave in other Arab countries, while he sat at a coffee shop in an unnamed state.

"One made a gesture that made it clear she was available. ... This is what happens when women are allowed to drive."

The study was undertaken after Shaima Jastaniya, a 34-year-old Saudi woman, was sentenced to 10 lashes with a whip after she was caught driving in Jeddah.

Despite strong protests in the country about the sentence and the law in general, there has been little hope for any reforms among conservative royals and clerics.

The Saudis must put some VERY unusual driver's seats in their cars...

This much is probably true. The question is whether fallen human nature in Saudi Arabia would be better served by, say, full-bore Christianity, where the evils cited above can be minimized and yet females can still drive. And the bizarre and bloody evils of Islam avoided as well.

If Saudi women get cars to drive,
they will give their camels to their husbands.
This should actally make the Saudi men happier.

Pornography.prostitution will surge if women are allowed to BREATHE....
there, fixed it.
How about...Pornography, prostitution curtailed if men are castrated?

These are sick, evil people who have a deep hatred of women and a vicious need to dominate them-and us!
They say it plainly, over and over, yet the world laughs it off.

In a Muslim world, this makes as much sense as anything else they do.

I have no problem with it.

Aside from the obviously ridiculous conclusions by the Wahabi nutjobs, I actually support Saudi Arabia's ban on female drivers.

As a former driving instructor, I noticed a disturbing pattern with women who come from male-dominated cultures:
They do not know how to make decisions.

Decisions are made for them their whole lives, which leaves them utterly incapable of doing it on their own. This is especially dangerous behind the wheel of a couple tons of high-velocity metal, where life-and-death decisions are made with such frequency that they are instinctual and unnoticed by experienced drivers.

I have watched women from these cultures completely freeze up at such simple tasks as deciding which way to turn at a corner or when to change lanes. God help the toddler who wanders in front of one of these drivers without a man in the car to tell her what to do.

I guess it’s too far a walk to get to the porn and prostitution district in Riyadh?

why is it poor logic?

Look at New York City and Hollywood and Las Vegas and Paris....... all are centers of sin where women drive.

American cities are sewers. Women drive.

To prevent the sewerization of Riyadh, women should not drive

You’re comparing human nature vs koranimals.

The women have no rights, infants can be married off to the pederasts who thigh them until the age of 9 & you use those cities as a comparison to their culture as if they’re some beacon of morality.

Sometimes you make me shake my head in disbelief.
