D.A. King: Adios, Newt - Nothing ‘humanitarian’ about Gingrich Amnesty Proposal
mdjonline.com ^ | November 25, 2011 | D.A. King

For Newt Gingrich, it seems that amnesty is an every-25 year “humanitarian” project.

Many thanks to the former House Speaker for explaining his core values and oh-so-morally-superior “compassion” on America’s illegal immigration crisis, another amnesty and the rule of law in the GOP presidential primary debate this week.

This long-time American was ever so close to making the blunder of supporting him for president.

With a blend of talking points taken from the anti-enforcement Chamber of Commerce, Barack Obama, the National Council of La Raza, the open borders Big Religion Inc. and Jerry Gonzalez of GALEO, the former speaker ended any confusion about his aversion to enforcement of the laws on immigration he voted for as a congressman.

(snip)

Gingrich also degraded and insulted the entire concept of legal immigration and U.S. citizenship by referring to not-yet-captured illegal aliens as “law-abiding citizens.”

He added, “I do believe if you’ve been here recently and have no ties to the U.S., we should deport you.” So it is a matter of time? Golly, thanks Newt. Apparently there is a statute of limitations on immigration violations for the would-be president of the republic.

It’s ironic that Gingrich would pick a figure of “a quarter century” as a time period for which an illegal can avoid deportation and then gain legal status in the USA.

Twenty-five years ago, then Congressman Newt Gingrich voted for the Simpson-Mazzoli legislation that legalized illegal aliens and offered the promise of future employer sanctions and secure American borders.

It was to have ended illegal immigration in the U.S forever.

I wouldn’t trust Newt if he told me the sun was up.

I wouldn’t trust Newt even if he was married to me...

uh, well, I know that's impossible (yu-uck), mmm, uh, er... you know what I meant...

It's not a coincidence that the number of ILLEGAL ALIENS on American payrolls is close to the number of Americans who are unemployed and looking for work.

And the idea that anybody would need to solicit the votes of cheaters and their friends in order to win elections is really an indictment of our form of government.

If the people working in the Newt Gingrich for President campaign are reading this, please let Newt know that this is how we want it done. Jim Robinson, our leader on the Free Republic, puts it as clearly as can be stated. I give in bold so that those Republican campaign directors can not say they missed it:

"The best plan I’ve ever heard about anything is, “We win, they lose,” Ronald Reagan’s famous plan vs the soviet communists. It’s genius was its sheer simplicity, its boldness, honesty and directness.

Likewise, a simple, bold, honest and direct plan would work against the illegal alien invasion. It’s not rocket science. Secure the borders. Crack down on illegals and their employers. No bennies to illegals. No jobs, no welfare, no food stamps, no SSI, no education, no hospital stays, no welfare, no bank accounts, no contracts, no drivers licenses, no social security, no medicare. Prison terms for criminals. They’ll leave as fast as they can.

Simply announce it as the ENFORCED law of the land and they will stop coming. Those already here will begin leaving.

We win, they lose."

My thanks to Jim Robinson.

Newt’s proposal is quite similar to Reagan’s.

i think it’s a good plan and will help Newt more than hurt him.

Which is Amnesty, thanks for being honest, Newt denies this.

I believe Newt is defining Amnesty as full citizenship. Under his definition, he’s correct. if yours is different, you can be correct.

The way I see it, we have 3 plans to chose from, Romney’s, Obama’s or Newt’s.

Cain is a nonstarter, so it doesn’t matter what he babbles on about.

Michelle-single digit- Bachmann has the best plan, no, not the one she had a few years ago, but the one she would like you to believe she supports now.

I chose Newt’s plan, warts and all.

Yep.

And there’s a lot more to what Newt proposes the part everyone focuses on.

Nothing will save us from Obammy and his socialist Rinos if conservatives are not motivated to get out and work the election on behalf of a conservative.

Newt may win the nomination with is half-wit clever stupidity, but he’ll lose the election. I don’t know why he needed to stake his claim on amnesty for illegals...there is so much that needs to be done. A destructive part of him (the Rinos in him) needed to give conservatives a heads up with a big and early poke in the eye.

As long as you're counting, how many threads are there on the Perry "Imigration thing"?

I’m old enough to remember.

Newt is a conservative and his accomplishments on behalf of conservativism are far above any other candidate.

i’ll support whoever goes against Obama, but right now Newt is the most conservative who has a chance to end the regime.

Just like McCain, you know the backstabbing, amnesty loving RINO we just "had to" vote for in 2008.

Never again.

A murderer? A Nazi war criminal?.....

Anybody here know Newt’s policy on LEGAL immigration.

Does he want more than a million new citizens per year?

For those have forgotten...

America has admitted 10 million new immigrant citizens in the last eleven years.

80% of them vote for the Democratic Party.
