Back at the source article most of the comments from Zimbabweans agree that this stuff oughtn’t to be allowed to flaunt itself in Zimbabwe, with various degrees of vehemence. Zimbabwe’s own prime minister appears to be bucking Mugabe on this issue (no idea whether he’s a gay), which is a nervy stance since Mugabe could easily have him offed.
