Is Romney more conservative than Obama? That is the question.

Yup, but some people just don’t get it. Apparently they want Obama to be able to replace Ginsburg with a younger version that will be on the court for 30 years. Or replace one of the others...all in the name of “not voting for that Mormon”.

The chant here should be “Obama, 4 more years because we don’t like the alternative”

One thing that we have to remember: Hussein doesn’t have to debate anyone and knowing what a coward he is, he probably won’t.

Well get the same results as when Ross Perot ran.

Sure, since votors still listen to the media in order to determine how they will vote. If everyone would quit second-guessing and vote their heart, it would all work out.

Yeah, he could drop out or he could not win the nomination. But if he DOES win the nomination, those saying they would vote for anybody but him guarantee 4 more years of Obama. More liberals on the Supreme Court, etc.

I’m all for a conservative winning. I’m saying if a conservative doesn’t, I’d rather have a RINO than Obama. Rinos suck, but next to Obama I’d take him. Considering how much more damage the guy could do in 4 years, I wouldn’t even think twice. Or, say the country turns around by some miracle, that 4 more years will continue on into 8 or 12 more years because the Dems will be riding the momentum.

Ronald Reagan wouldn’t be good enough for a number of people at Freerepublic.

Well get the same results as when Ross Perot ran.

It won't matter. Romney would be mercilessly hammered by the MSM re: being a racist 31 yo giving $ to one of the largest racist organizations in the world.

Hint: If the MSM made such a big deal about a rock on hunting grounds belonging to the Perry family, what about Romney giving 10% of his income for over 13 years of his adult life to one of the largest worldwide racist orgs?

Between that and his other crazy beliefs (believing he can become a god and rule his own planet; magic underwear; baptizing dead people, etc) the MSM would make sure any last hope or vestige of him being a "viable" candidate would turn out to nothingness. He wouldn't even break 30% no matter what.

So, what's the difference if Romney loses 46-29% Or 46-22%

If you lose a football game 46-29 instead of 46-22 so what? You were never a viable candidate to win.

Therefore voting for Romney if he won the GOP nomination would be...
...wasting your vote
...searing your conscience
...digging the grave of the GOP

Why would any true GOP voter want to do that?

He will debate the GOP candidate at least 3 times. No way he doesn’t debate the GOP nominee.

Is Romney more conservative than Obama? That is the question.

No, it's not. Read post #28.

Then think: Do we want to make the GOP into the new extinct Whigs.

Put Romney in there and up to 1/3rd of the GOP will walk. And many of them for good.

The GOP becomes the new RINO party...not worth supporting...

If Romney is the pubby nominee, a third party run by Sarah Palin would insure a huge conservative trunout and sweep amny down ticket spots away from the democraps. Thus even if little barry gets re-elected his ability to ruin the nation would be stymed, hopefully four more than two years.

If my choice is Newt, Romney or Obama, then yes, I’d be among the 30 percent going third party. Count on it.

I am not going to cast a vote for anyone who supports Obamacare.

Per this article that ran yesterday...Iowa voters began to "splinter when asked whether they consider 'Mormonism to be part of the Christian tradition' or something else. In Iowa, 51 percent of likely caucus attendees say it is 'something else,' while 34 percent in New Hampshire say that. Romney, 64, wins the backing of 28 percent of likely Iowa caucus goers who say his religion is part of the Christian tradition -- putting him in first place by 9 percentage points in the field of eight candidates. He draws 11 percent backing from those who view it as something else -- moving him into fourth place in Iowa. Romney's Mormon faith "does have an impact, even if people think it doesn't play a role in their choice," Selzer says...In Iowa, 48 percent of likely Republican caucus participants say Romney will do or say anything to win, 47 percent say he's a flip-flopper, and 46 percent say he's not really a social conservative.
Source: Republicans on Romney Can't Reconcile Competence With Expediency

There ya go. Romney's other-worldly worldviews is making a difference in how Iowa voters view him...and almost half deem him as NOT a social conservative-- a "flip flopper" and one who will do or say anything to win.

Romney is NOT conservative enough. He will be little different than Obama except he also wants to “moderate” the GOP if he wins. He’ll get his wish when the conservatives bolt.

Oh wait, they can’t win if that happens, so moderates LOSE.

Oh that is right, maybe thats what RINO’s want.
