Well, his attorney could probably make a case for the fact that Obama wasn’t there at the time, therefore this guy had no intention of really assassinating him - assuming they can prove he didn’t know Obama wasn’t there.
I wonder if the alleged assassin is an American citizen and why he wanted to shoot Obama?

This guy had a history of weird behavior, so he’ll probably be committed (like the would-be Reagan assassin). That said, I doubt that he intended to shoot Hussein, but was simply making his crazed OWS “statement” by shooting at the building.
Crazy people are the first ones to join up with extremist movements, especially anarchist movements.
