Can anyone serve our country running next Tuesdays election in Houston?

I got drafted today to be the Presiding Judge at a precinct in Southwest Houston, TX next Tuesday. I need to recruit one Alternate Judge and two to four Clerks. Some of us are required to attend training on the electronic voting machines. The classes will be Thursday and Friday night.

These are paid positions ($8.50/hr IIRC). Election Day runs from 6 AM when we set up until about 8 PM when we wrap up.

This is a good opportunity to learn how to run a clean election. Get in practice for the big one in 2012.

You must be a registered voter in Harris County.

Any patriots care to join me?

Thanks in advance.

Freepmail me for my phone number.

Forgot to mention that TrueTheVote.org is still recruiting Poll Watchers and the County is DESPERATE for Judges all over the place.

We’re just talking about volunteering for one day. Believe me, YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE!

I was a Poll Watcher during Early Voting and detected suspicious activity. The ESlate voting machines make fraud difficult. However, if no one is watching and all of the dims in the room are in on the scam, all they have to do is cast a ballot for people that they know will not show up. Recently deceased, moved away, out of the country, or whatever....just have someone sign the Poll Book and cast a ballot. Once it is cast, it’s TOO DAMN LATE TO DO ANYTHING.

Whenever a precinct is run by an all-dim crew we get incredibly high voter turnout and the dims win big. I have seen Republican precincts vote heavy democrat when no pubbies were there to police things.

We need enough volunteers to cover every day of voting.

Please join this fight.

In Brazoria County we have at least one Republican and one Democrat clerk working at each polling place. If neither is bilingual - Spanish - then we have a third clerk plus a Judge. I have always found that the Democrats seem overly concerned about making sure that no Democrat voter is disenfranchised. Working during voting is a whole lot easier in our county. Judges are very important as they set the whole tone for that polling place. Every FR participant should work during election at least once. Makes you have more appreciation for the entire process.

I miss-read the thread headline. Thought it read “Can anyone on next Tuesday’s election save this country?” ;)

I’ve worked the polls many times. It’s a long day and low wages but it is very rewarding. But, I’m in Newton County so I can’t help you.

Thanks for serving.

OK, filled my team out.

However, TrueTheVote.org is still looking for volunteers. We are finding suspicious activity all over the place.

Please volunteer to serve.

Already booked for another precinct. Been doing this for 10 years. Thanks for serving.

This is good practice for the 2012 election.

I'd love to but I live in this country called Northen California( the blue collar farming area) and you need someone close to home. I've worked voting before, but , well it would be costly getting on down one way or another. So i pray for the right person to emerge, take the reigns and kick butt for all you great peole of Houston

Sorry it took me a while to find this thread...

Next time, go get a crew from the local High School...I know it may seem a little cheesy, but most of the kids that do volunteer are the interpreters (Vietnamese, Spanish speaking)...they have friends who might be interested in serving as well...

I filled over half my crew with these kids and they are a blast of energy to have on those long election days...

The county (Harris) has a cadre of trained interpreters and clerks that would fit the bill...

I actually had more clerks than I needed or was allowed...The one kid who I had work for me before split her wage to the other two kids who only cared to get the volunteer hours for school...

I’m going to make up some really nice certificates of Appreciation for them this weekend...

And, I know all Ihave to do is call one of them and I’ll have my crew ready to go for the state Primaries next year...

Piece of cake!!!

Email me, and I’ll give you a few more details...

Always good to see you hammering away Darth!!! And planting the seed early will benefit the conservative cause if we get them participating and serving their communities in this capacity early on in their lives...

Gimme a call too if you get a chance this weekend...
