Reagan cut more then any other President and all the spending came right back. Spending cuts by themselves do not structurally change the system. Our tax system is structure to reward the takers and punish the givers.
As long as you allow the takers a free ride, they will always vote for those politicans promising to make other people pay for their gimmies.
Spending cuts without tax code reform are putting the cart before the horse.
Because until your reform the tax code and broaden the tax base so everyone has skin in the game spending guts are always temporary.

LOL! You’ll make a GREAT Demovik someday. “We can’t really cut the spending until we triple your taxes. Turst us.”
Great post John. Neither side has the guts to bring it up but without everyone in the country—rich—poor contributing to paying off the debt it won’t go away. We can’t it cut it fast enough with just a few people paying.
Good point...of course...
his (Cain) problem is...any preconceived cost cutting
is going raise questions..."about his heartlessness"
Cain's retort: "Where's is this; in the US Constitution..
we don't have the $$$$"
