Conservative voters don't like Mitt Romney because he seems insufficiently committed to their ideals, but reporters like that he offers them an opportunity to play psychologist.

OMG
George Will's characterization of Romney as the Republican George Dukakis is too real. Dukakis became the joke of press corps and the nation and it's happening with Romney right before our eyes.
'Anderson? Anderson? ROTFLMAO
Fancy term for flip flopper?
What’s the longest string of flip flops that Mitt has been caught at? Where he went from yes to no back to yes and even further? Maybe the quickest flip flop (if it is a flip flop, it’s hard to tell, it’s like looking for hay in a pile of needles) was the other day when Mitt was first for Ohio’s latest right-to-work proposition, then he dodged the question when in front of a bunch of rabid labor unionists.
Kinda makes me take Romney’s side. Who are these yappers, anyway? They’ve never played the game.
Check out this funny youtube ad about Romney’s flip flops:

Posted by the Huntsman campaign.
It'll be his undoing as a candidate, either primary or general. If somehow he's sworn in come Jan 2013, Democrats in Congress will push him around.
I think that was Michael Dukakis and I believe there our better things to do then laugh at Republican candidates along with the idiot media.
But they could have had a heyday with Obama's Axis II: 301.81 - Narcissistic Personality Disorder, severe.
Huntsman and Romney are both Mormons, but it sounds like Huntsman takes the church’s on-paper expectation of integrity more seriously. LDS is not hugely strict on members’ conduct in practice and its questionnaire for fitness ends by throwing the judgment to the conscience of the member. How else could notorious immoral Rats — like Harry Reid — be considered Mormons in good standing?

Romney's a Republican? Who knew?
Flip flopping will hurt him in gaining mindshare all right. I think a lot of Republicans are still smarting that Sarah Palin walked away from the race. She towered above the entire rest of the field of popularly expected hopefuls, though Cain seems to be growing now that he’s not in Sarah’s shadow.
If it knocks out Romney before he gets the nomination, I say ‘Bring it on.’ Better now than after he gets the nomination.
LOL
That’s cold.
I was in the GOP in MA and there is something very real to this story.
Besides the flip-flopping, Romney is still a very poor politician. He is tone deaf on issues and even on in-person and one-on-one campaigning.
The press would be remiss not to report on it at all until we are stuck with him in the general and Barry runs rings around him in the personality contest.
A common meme is that Romney is well accepted by the lukewarm establishment Republican crowd.
If so, this crowd sure has an iron stomach for flip flops. I’m not even sure that Democrats would welcome Romney as an aisle crossing compromiser, because he’d go back on his word in a couple of days if true to recent pattern. On the other hand, it might be fun to see the Democrats playing Charlie Brown to Romney’s Lucy-and-football. (In the making lemonade out of lemons category.)
Remiss is the press’s middle name, chum.
Yeah, I just thought he was the south end of a north-bound weasel.
If Romney is the nominee, the hands from everyone at the DNC will have blisters from all of the high-fiving they’ll be doing.
ROMNEY? - A dork that cannot relate to normal people.
