Herman Cain: ‘I Gotta Fight Romneycare and Get the Nomination’
ABC News ^ | 10-27-11 | Susan Archer

Herman Cain skipped a RNC gala in Washington D.C. tonight to speak at the sold out Nueces County Republican Women’s Dinner in Corpus Christi. Following a private fundraiser in his honor, Cain talked about his 9-9-9 plan and railed against the Obama administration and a healthcare plan he said the American people did not want.

“Back in early 1990s”, Cain said, “I had to fight Hillarycare and be an outspoken voice against Hillarycare. During the passage of Obamacare, I had to fight Obamacare and he passed it anyway against the will of the people. So it seems as if many of my years have been fighting some kind of care. Hillarycare, Obamacare, and now I gotta fight Romneycare and get the nomination.”

Talking about his 9-9-9 Plan, Cain touted its simplicity.

“One of the guiding principles we have is that if the people understand it, they will support it and demand it.” Pulling out his 9-9-9 pamphlet, Cain promised to produce similar easy-to-read pamphlets for all of his policy proposals, namely ’9-9-9′, energy independence, and illegal immigration — all of the “crises” he believes America faces.

Bingo! Mitt keeps defending RomneyCare as “Right for Massachussetts”. If Cain goes up in the next debate and rips him to shreds on why it has been a disaster for Massachussetts, Mitt will be left sucking his thumbs.

Most big problems are a series of smaller manageable problems. Big government doesn’t want you to figure that out.
Go Cain!

But he's in the tank for Romney! It's a vast Rockefeller-wing conspiracy!

LOL. Cain was never in the tank for Romney. It was a conspiracy theory created to slam Cain as non-conservative. There is no truth to it.

Cain needs to make an articulate case as to how RomneyCare is the absis for ObamaCare. He needs to link both and explain how they are hurting the country and the state of Massachusetts. Start discussing the fact that Democrat party effectively copied parts of Romneycare for their own. He has to drive home the point that Romney is hypocritical in his approach of attack Obamacare and supporting Romneycare. Basically it is two sides of the same coin. So can Romney be the guy to help repeal Obama care when he supported that stuff in Massachusetts.

So far Rick Perry has been unable to coherently make that case and then be able to defend himself. Cain has the ball in his court to do this.

"and now I gotta fight Romneycare"

Dear Herman,

Exactly when is "now?"

Would that be in 3 weeks? 3 months? 3 years?

Because sir, you have had at least 4 debates to fight Romneycare and show the voters you will fight it.

Sadly, you've failed to deliver. You turned the other cheek and said you'd be his VP.

I certainly hope this tea party crowd gave you a lot of money. I hope you will finally deliver for them. Go after Romney once and for all, ya know. Like you said you would at least 3 prior occasions and got scared.

Cain will get that chance on November 5 when he debates Gingrich in a one-on-one moderator-free debate. I believe one of the issues to be debated is healthcare.
