I’m sure this is abused somewhere USA, but really? Is this a problem? From what I’ve read (and somebody will correct me if I’m wrong, I’m sure), Sharia law has only been used in civil matters, never criminal, and when both sides agree.

They allow Amish this ability.

No different than arbitration.

Until I see evidence to the contrary, your post pretty much sums up my thoughts on this.

Yes, this is a problem. A big one. We have a Constitution and a Bill of Rights. It does not matter what group you are-US law is the law of this land. Live with it or leave.

Sharia law stands in direct contrast to US law. Get a copy of it and read it. I have. It is barbaric, violent, and women have no rights- they are cattle.

Even in “civil matters”, it has no place in a civilized nation- unless of course you think someone who is hungry and steals a loaf of bread to feed his family deserves to have his right hand cut off by a sword. Or a woman seen out on the streets without her body and face fully covered deserves to be brutally whipped and/or raped. Or a woman who goes out of her house, alone, with out a male relative, or is seen with a non related male, is whipped.

Get a copy of it and read it. It has no place in the USA.
