Yes, this is a problem. A big one. We have a Constitution and a Bill of Rights. It does not matter what group you are-US law is the law of this land. Live with it or leave.
Sharia law stands in direct contrast to US law. Get a copy of it and read it. I have. It is barbaric, violent, and women have no rights- they are cattle.
Even in “civil matters”, it has no place in a civilized nation- unless of course you think someone who is hungry and steals a loaf of bread to feed his family deserves to have his right hand cut off by a sword. Or a woman seen out on the streets without her body and face fully covered deserves to be brutally whipped and/or raped. Or a woman who goes out of her house, alone, with out a male relative, or is seen with a non related male, is whipped.
Get a copy of it and read it. It has no place in the USA.
Sharia Law cannot supercede the Constitution and the Bill of Rights okay? Got that? The only cases I have read where Sharia law (and arbiters) where used are in Civil Matters. I.E not criminal such as the example you gave. Okay? Got that?
I don’t agree with Sharia law, and I will not consent to it. So I have no fear that it’s going to be imposed on me. Okay? Got that?
