ATLANTA (AP) Herman Cain is learning the hard way what it means to face the glare of the national spotlight.
After captivating Republicans hungry for an alternative to 2012 GOP presidential front-runner Mitt Romney, Cain has made a series of stumbles that have left some questioning whether he's ready for the White House.

Interesting to note there is no data presented to back up the opinions expressed by the Associated Press in this hit piece

A couple of liberal pixies telling us about our candidate and worrying about the GOP. How nice of them. They need to concentrate about their boy, Barry, and worry about his poll numbers going in the toilet while he sits there carving notches in his “Peace” prize medallion.

The exemptions are already being built into his 999 plan. That really screwed up my view of him and his actual mentality as opposed to the things he’s said. At the very least he’s started a national debate re: flat tax.

Typical AP smear of a conservative that they view as a threat to their friends on the left.

The MSM isn’t in a swoon, nor covering up for misstatements like they do ‘you-know-who’ and Joy Behar isn’t contemplating sleeping with the guy.
That’s the only difference.

“have left some questioning”
Typical journalistic BS.
Unless they name names this article in meaningless.
The Cain train is going full steam ahead.
To: MNJohnnie
If you read it, the “hit” was not just at Cain. Actually, there were some nice comments about him.

The title you posted here is not the same as the title in the article you linked to.
Anyhow, the linked article doesn't offer a whole lot of substance to back up the claim that Cain is "stumbling under glare of national spotlight" and the examples they use to make that claim are rather weak.
That said, yes, Cain is going to have his share of gaffes, just like everybody else in the public eye. Name me one person in public life who has never made a gaffe!
Now that Cain represents a real threat to the status quo, the media and the elite establishment are going to attempt to ridicule and marginalize him like they did previously with Sarah Palin. So while their "messiah" can get away with rattling on about the 57 states and Navy "corpse-men", they are going to stick it to Cain everytime he makes the slightest grammatical error and the writers at SNL are busy right now putting together skits that will make him look foolish.
So be it. From what I've seen so far, Cain is going to hold up to this scrutiny a lot better than many people seem to think.
