Protesters disrupt John Boehner’s golf game in Newport Beach

A weekend of worldwide protest spilled over into Orange County on Monday as about 40 left-leaning activists protested House Speaker John Boehner's visit to the Pelican Hill Golf Club in Newport Beach.

"He knows he can't go anywhere without the people going with him," said Rick Jacobs, founder of the Courage Campaign, a progressive group. "I hope that even while he's up there, raking in millions in cash, he knows there's people here and everywhere. We're going to make clear that this isn't a funny time anymore. This is a real time. It's time for him to get busy on jobs and not on his golf game."

They were calling for Boehner and Republicans to approve President Obama's $447-billion jobs bill, which stalled last week in the Senate.

Under the guise of having a tee time Monday morning, Jacobs was able to get into the golf clubhouse and speak with the Ohio representative and Republican leader.

He said he tapped the speaker on the shoulder. Boehner then turned and smiled until Jacobs said he was actually with the Courage Campaign, at which time Boehner turned and walked away.

I know "the people" and this Rick Jacobs isn't even a human being ~ doesn't even have anything like the same DNA.

He should check out now that he's been discovered.

Staged and coordinated directly or one-off by the White House, 99.995% probability.

Welcome to the Courage Campaign!

The Courage Campaign is an online organizing network that empowers more than 700,000 grassroots and netroots activists to push for progressive change and full equality in California and across the country.

As a leading multi-issue advocacy organization, the Courage Campaign’s work to bring progressive change to California and full equality to America is supported by thousands of small donations from our diverse community. Through Courage Campaign California, we are holding politicians accountable to progressive values, working to bring fundamental reform to California’s broken government, and training and organizing activists to change their communities. Through Courage Campaign Equality, we are mobilizing activists to restore marriage equality to California and full equality to America, driven by “Testimony: Equality on Trial” — our year-long campaign to bring the Prop 8 federal trial into the lives of Americans.

Our partners include MoveOn.org, CREDO Mobile, Democracy for America, PowerPAC.org, California Nurses Association, National Union of Healthcare Workers and the Southern Christian Leadership Conference of Greater Los Angeles.

Our online organizing tools are powered by Blue State Digital, a leader in online fundraising, social networking, and constituency development programs for clients including Obama for America, the Democratic National Committee, and the Alliance for Climate Protection.

Sounds like a smart and experienced guy. Too bad he wasn’t using his time for good instead of this nonsense. He needs to change to a conservative immediately.
