Where is Cain’s plan for CUTTING GOVERNMENT?

You can gimmick taxes all you want to , but if you don’t cut government, we are sunk.

Where is Perry's?

9-9-9 is a plan to cut Government. Instead of racing back to Perry HQ for the next smear attack to post actually LEARN something that challenges your Perry worship for a change.

This is the thing I think Perry supporters are missing.

The growth of our out of control Federal Government starts with the implementation of the income tax.

As long as you give politicians a potentially unlimited income stream, as the income tax does, they will find ways to spend it.

We can cut and cut and cut but the spending always comes back. Reagan cut the most of any modern President and the spending came back plus more.

Until you address the revenue side, Federal Spending is not going to be controlled no matter how much any President cuts. Reagan cut and cut and cut and all that plus more Fed spending came back within a decade.

You have to limit the Congress's ability to spend and borrow money (Cut, Cap, and tax) but then you also need to limit it's revenue stream. 9-9-9 does that.

The genius of 9-9-9 is, for the 1st time, there is a leading Presidential Candidate putting out a plan to limit Fed revenue. The key components is the sale tax. By spreading a lower tax burden to all Americans he creates an insurmountable problem for any future tax raises.

How do you convince people to give you more taxes when they personally know they will pay for the tax hike?

See the trick now is Congress can always disguise any tax hike by hiding it inside the overly complex tax code. By tweaking around the edges with the tax code they can gradually and systematically raise taxes with virtually no one noticing.

9-9-9 eliminates that ability to “tinker around the edges” of a mind numbingly complex tax code

Where is Cain’s plan for CUTTING GOVERNMENT?

Cain has a website.

http://www.hermancain.com/the-issues

Second tab down. It’s just an introduction, but I understand Cain has said 10% across the board, with 100% in some departments.

Reduce Government Spending

It is no secret that federal government spending is out of control. They view the American taxpayers as a bottomless piggybank for their wasteful programs and expansion of power. And we the people will not tolerate it any longer.

The massive debt caused by liberal policies will be passed onto our children and grandchildren if we do not stop it. They will be stuck with the tab for the government takeover of health care, industry bailouts and failed stimulus packages. They will be the ones approached with outstretched palms by the Chinese to pay back the billions upon billions we owe them. Each generation of Americans should seek to leave behind a better and more prosperous nation for the next, not saddle them with debt from reckless spending.

Though it might not be politically popular to modernize and eliminate some of our entitlement programs, responsible leaders should be willing to do it all the same. They must be prepared to make tough choices and learn to simply say “no.” This can only happen when our elected officials stop being politicians and start being leaders. Simply put: there is no “Department of Happy” in Washington, D.C.

Nothing should be off the table. Every federal agency, every government program and expenditure must be reviewed and revised with a keen eye and a red pen. Leaders should be willing to shrink budgets by target percentages, and those charged with implementing those changes must be held accountable.

And it works! I have served as an executive of several major corporations. When times were tough and money was tight, I asked our employees to cut back drastically, and explained why it was necessary, and they did. We have all had to make difficult decisions in our own household or at our work place. Serious but responsible belt tightening can save businesses, and it can also save our country with the right leadership.

Have you ever heard of the doctrine of “starve the beast”?

The ONLY way to actually cut government is to cut its power over the revenue streams. And that’s what 999 does.
