Obama says 12 troops with "appropriate combat equipment" were deployed on October 12..'12 Troops' indicates to me that they're Two, Six Man, Army SF Teams. But I'm glad they're only 'advising'. Then again that's how Vietnam started, with SF Teams 'only advising' ARVN.

But Our Kenyan president has Aunts, Uncles, Brothers, Sisters, Nieces and Nephews living there.
He’s called it home on a few occasions, and was a citizen at one time.

IMHO there is no US strategic interest in re-establishing the former Caliphate of Egypt, whose main purpose will be the destruction of Israel, and the acquiring of nuclear arms from Iran. This policy is cause for impeachment.

That organization is run by one individual named Joseph Kony who believes he is a prophet and brings together many disaffected and superstitious animist and Christian types largely because they are convinced to follow him, mostly because they are so uneducated.
He is not fighting Muslims or anyone in particular.
He is merely killing people indiscriminately particularly in Northern Uganda and in Southern Sudan.
There are many documented examples of his torture, rape, and murder of the civilian population. He would have his soldiers drill holes in the lips of his victims and padlock their mouths shut for them to starve to death, or rip out the pad locks.
Please, please, do not go down this road until you know whereof you speak.
He does not represent Christians, he does not fight Muslims, he is a plain mass murderer and torturer. He kidnaps people and the Ugandans are frightened to death to speak ill of him because he has people all over who will report them and they disappear. I can’t speak to the wisdom of Obama’s actions, but this is not a Muslim vs. Christian issue, except that Kony claims to be Christian to get credibility with the West. Don’t go there Rush!

There are reported to be 20,000 missing children in Uganda and Rwanda and they are believed to have been trained as soldiers for the LRA. That’s 20,000 youths with guns. It is not 500 or 150 as advertised.
When this expedition fails to grab Kony, it will only strengthen him in his god-complex, because he will tell his followers that even the Untied States cannot stop him.
He is moving around the DRC and the neighboring countries which have no law, no organization and no infrastructure. The area is the size of maybe one-half of the US. Are we going to really get him? Hell no!
When he fails, Kony and the LRA will be retaliating against the population, and so many, many, innocent people are going to die as a result of this failed venture. The perception of this action in country will matter most. The people will be expecting that if the great USA comes in to get Kony, then they will be saved. If they do not get Kony, then the people will feel abandoned again, just as they were abandoned by the French, the UN, the Belgians, and the Church which resulted in a genocide in which not one country cared enough to stop it!
No they are going to experience the retaliation again, unless we are successful and very soon. Many people will die because of this decision, Mr. President.
So I ask you, Mr. President...What will you do when you fail and leave the people to suffer for themselves? Will you claim you had no idea that this was going to happen, a la Clinton and Rwanda? You should have left it alone.
What is your true motive, Mr. President? Why, after all this time, do you choose now to claim that the US has an interest in this backwater of humanity? Surely you don’t at long last see the value of the human lives that are there?
Or is it the oil in South Sudan, or the rare Earth minerals in the DRC that are not reachable because of the conflict? You know, if he do not have those minerals, the ipads and cell phones can’t be made by the Chinese.
Is this the first battle in a claim to get control over the resources in DRC and South Sudan?
How dare you sacrifice the lives of our troops, and the people of Uganda for your geopolitical power play for minerals and oil. Wasn’t Libya enough? Are we going to vie for the control of all of Africa? What will be your excuse when the LRA is defeated?
Mr. President, your ineptitude will bring death to many human beings in Uganda, and you should be ashamed of your actions.
What I want to know, Mr. President, is whom do you serve? You do not serve me. You do not serve America. You do not serve Uganda. Who is telling you this is a good idea. We voting members of what used to be a republic, would really like to know.
Rush added detail before the end of the show. I added other points. Yes, yes, yes — Obama picked a genuine thug, but what about the muslim thugs all over Africa? Why did he ignore them and prioritize this guy? Because he fits the “bitter clinger” template — he’s Obama’s fantasy tea partiers. And, wag the dog.
