A bill to support stabilization and lasting peace in northern Uganda and areas affected by the Lord’s Resistance Army through development of a regional strategy to support multilateral efforts to successfully protect civilians and eliminate the threat posed by the Lord’s Resistance Army and to authorize funds for humanitarian relief and reconstruction, reconciliation, and transitional justice, and for other purposes.

This bill became law. It was signed by Barack Obama.
But Bush and even Clinton at least talked about it in advance and set up a sort of groundswell of public support for a “humanitarian” mission (although in both cases, there were US interests involved, namely in attempting to stabilize a part of the world that, while unimportant in itself, was becoming a safe haven for our Islamic enemies.
Of course now, the difference is that Obama is doing this secretly and unilaterally because the Lord’s Resistance Army (a very nutty bunch whom no sane person could support) is attacking Muslims, so some of his bros must have reached out to him and asked for this. But he has utter contempt for the US and the US military, because he hasn’t even attempted to get or pretended to have popular support for this.
The LRA is a lot of things. Christian isn't one of them.
Here's the story of a real Christian who built an orphanage in South Sudan pretty much by himself then went out with a Bible in one hand and an AK-47 in the other and rescued hundreds of children from the LRA. Machine Gun Preacher

You are absolutely right. This crap has been going on in Africa almost forever Just because someone added a religious component to age old tribal warfare makes no difference. We have NO business there. None.
In this conflict, Obama is siding with muslims against this army called “Lord’s resistance army.”
Many are calling it a “Christian army.” It’s not surprising Obama would side with Muslims against Christians, but my sensors are saying “beware a set-up.”
I don’t want boots on the ground in another war for any reason.
I also don’t want to barrel into an argument only to discover to my embarrassment that I’m siding with guerillas known for pillage, rape, murder, etc. AND who manipulate the word “christian” for obvious reasons.
