President Obama's $447 billion jobs bill failed to clear a procedural hurdle in the Democratic-controlled Senate Tuesday night despite a White House push that accelerated in the 11th hour.

Sen. Jim Webb, D-Va., had said earlier that although he intended to vote in favor of ending the Republican filibuster, he did not intend to support the bill if it reached a final vote.

Hey Idiot Obama the Dem's are very afraid of losing their jobs, they remember what happened in the Congress..I am afraid this isn't going to help then at all since we are sick and tired of Reid and his morons blocking everything that the Republicans try to pass..We also have to be careful in case the idiot and chief wins another election if we don't see to it that the democrat senate loses then Obama will have them there to pass anything he puts out there..

Why didn't Harry trigger the “nuclear option” and rule a simple majority will do like he did before?

Doesn't matter—every Dem Senator who voted for cloture on Porkulus 2 just gave the GOP a good campaign optic to use against them.

Lieberman will vote against the bill in the final vote and now Webb says he will too.

So now that's 4 Dems against it. Who else will betray the Won?

that bill would help put Americans back to work without adding a dime to the deficit

Where have we heard this before? Oh, yes. Everytime Obama opens his mouth to talk about his spending plans.

You bring up a very astute point. We do need to concentrate on the Senate. It will be our insurance policy against any chance that he steals the election. Here in Florida, we need to send Bill Nelson out to pasture.Check out my tag-line and help if you can. Thanks FRiends.
