It is always good strategy to go after the front runner than it is the also-ran. Now that Perry and Romney have switched spots, it makes even more sense.
Perry's best strategy might just be to lay back and enjoy it. Because if he makes any more stupid statements in support of the illegal alien lobby, he is going to get pummeled.

And he can't do that by laying back and enjoying it. It's a double-edged sword for him tonight.
