Didn't I just read an article earlier this morning that Harry is having trouble getting the Democrats up for re-election to sign onto it. So it is ther Republican's fault. Right.

Scratching my head. If Prince Harry invoked the nuclear option to reduce Senate activity to simple majority, how can the Pubs stop anything?

I saw Joe Lieberman this morning on TV and he said that he couldn’t vote for it because A) the bill costs about half a trillion dollars and B) it does nothing to actually encourage investment and growth.

Yep, has nothing to do with Senate Rats, who face re-election next year, running away from it. It’s all the Pub’s fault.

New York Times, you can’t fail fast enough.

Here we go again.

How many times are we going to fall for this.

Just go ahead and vote for the damn thing now, Republicans. We already know you're going to cave. Just get it over with.

How can Republicans kill anything in The Senate? They aren't the majority.

They might be able to filibuster but that's not the same as killing it.

There are enough Liberal Republicans like Lisa Murkowski, Scott Brown, Olympia Snow, Susan Collins and a few others to overcome what Republican might deign to filibuster.

Stupid Yahoo News. You'd think they'd know that by now.

Reid thinks he really pulled a fast one but he is in for quite a blow-back. Harry, you and your pack will again be reminded why it isn't much fun to be a rat.

On one hand, you’ve got the media spinning this furiously as the minority somehow killing Obama’s bill.

On the other hand, you’ve got conservatives clamoring to replace the same R’s with hardcore TEA Party activists.

If you’re a D in Congress, you’ve got to be amazed.

The headline should be “Minority set to outvote majority”.

Should all the Republicans simply vote “present”?

Why would Republicans try to force a vote on the so-called jobs bill by tacking it to another bill as an amendment, then when it comes up by itself filibuster it to stop a vote on it? Is this story correct or just propaganda?

Last time I checked the Democrats were the majority in the Senate. That along with Reid’s “nuclear option” means that the only people who can stop “Obama’s Jobs Bill” are the Democrats.

Here’s what would be kind of funny. Suppose Collins, Snowe, Kirk, Brown, Muckowski, etc - some of those folks - all vote for the bill, and Reid picks up enough Republican votes to pass it.

Suddenly, that would put Democrats - like Tester, McWhatserface, The Nelson’s, etc - in the position of having to kill it. Or face a brutal election environment with even more pathetic voting records.

If I was a GOP Senator not up for re-election, and/or with sufficiently established conservative credentials - like Jim DeMint or Marco Rubio, say - I’d consider voting for it just to put the squeeze on the Dems.

Then we would see the Democrats kill the bill. Very Funny!

How are republicans going to do this if they’re the minority and there’s no fillibuster permitted?
