Rick Perry may be taking a break from the campaign trail today, but he's getting his message out loud and clear in a new web video.
Released ahead of tomorrow night's Republican presidential debate in New Hampshire, the ad slams rival Willard M. Romney over "Romneycare" and his frequent flip-flopping a line of attack spearheaded by Tim Pawlenty.
A piece of trail trivia: You might recognize that slick cinematic-style from the now defunct T-Paw campaign. That's because Perry's team snatched up the same filmmaker guy.
The lush visuals carry over to this ad, titled "Romneys Remedy." Just to give you an idea, Romney's face shape-shifts into Obama's face! That particular Photoshop job may also break rules over usage of an official White House photo... Conceptually, the ad takes on the healthcare mandate for Massachusetts Romney created while serving as governor a very serious weak-spot for Romney's campaign.
As Romney knows all too well, it puts him in an awkward position to get the nom, especially after Obama said he based his healthcare plan off Romney's and the Republican party is actively trying to overturn that law.

Socialism is evil no matter what government creates it. Thanks to Perry for bringing this up again.
Yes, thanks to Perry. Credit where credit is due. Not my number one guy but I could happily vote for him in the general election. I can't say the same for Romney, whom I will never vote for, for anything.
I would believe that we have thrown away the opportunity of a lifetime if Perry is our candidate. On the other hand, he’s better than anyone but Reagan that’s been the GOP candidate in the general election for at least 50 years.
We must elect someone who will reform both our entitlement programs and the influence of government in our lives.
*Businessmen* aren’t interested in changing the way things are done.
...and meanwhile the ELEPHANT in the room sits back while Romney helps clear the field, and then gets to see how his 30% support does against a candidate who has UNIFIED the conservative side.

Herman Cain: The role of government, in my view, is to maintain an equal balanced playing field for the citizens and for our society. Not to throw it out of balance.
3:30 into discussion: Herman Cain on John Stossel Show, Fox News
I have to say it again, this is one of the best ads yet. I am really impressed with this “ad maker”. The ending is just perfect with Obama saying, “he’s right.”
In other news, Perry’s numbers dropped from 31% to 15% in the latest Gallup Poll.
Desperate times = Desperate Measures.
If he ends up looking like Boomhower again tonight, it’s over. Then it becomes a two man race between Cain and Romney. No, I don’t want Romney.
I saw the ad. Very nice. BTTT
I hope Perry keeps attacking Romney. I wish the other candidates would do the same. Romney needs to go. I’d be happy with Cain or Perry as the nominee. I just don’t understand why Cain attacks Perry, who is far, far, far more conservative than Romney, but not Romney.
Perry's imploded due to his immigration stance. What he needed to do (I believe it's too late for Perry), is immediately come out extremely strongly on his plans to secure the border and have illegal immigrants self-deport. Perry needs to come out extremely strongly on enforcing the immigration laws, on not suing Arizona and Alabama for enforcing Federal Laws.
Perry hasn't done this. He's toast. He's come across a liberal by parroting liberal attacks (you have no heart). For non-liberals, it's bad enough to be smeared by the Left, but it is unacceptable to be smeared the same way by GOP candidates. You can date Dubya's final decline to his comments attacking his OWN voters as nativists, etc. for opposing his Comprehensive Immigration Reform.
Dubya did this, tried to appoint Harriet Meiers and other liberal claptrap.
Watch the debate tonite. Perry's going to have to come across as Superman to make a dent. Ain't gonna happen.
Cain is the last anti-Romney standing and will win the nomination.
Of course and why anti-Perry MSM is framing it that way. Nice of you to promote it. /s
Romney: There are a lot of reasons not to elect me.
Obama: He's right!
*Businessmen* arent interested in changing the way things are done.
Real businessmen are. Corporate employees, not so much.
“You consider Romney the more Conservative? IMO he’s the biggest target.”
Perry’s probably slightly more conservative overall. Perry’s generally good on taxes and spending. He’s also been on the right side on other issues. Romney has Romneycare and other crap up there. But then Perry coddles Illegals, tried the biggest land grab in US history, tried to shoot up little girls so that they could have wild and crazy sex in their teen years, etc.
So overall...Perry wins by a bit. But his negatives offset much of his positives.
