Arizona sheriffs blast gun-smuggling operation

PHOENIX (AP) — Ten Arizona sheriffs slammed the Obama administration on Friday over a botched federal operation that allowed more than 2,000 high-powered rifles to make their way to Mexico, calling for the president to launch an independent investigation and for Attorney General Eric Holder to step down or be fired.

Sense before the “Civil War” the Feds have arrogantly maintained that they and their agents were above the law. Indeed this was one of the issues the Confederate Constitution addressed.

Pinal County Sheriff Paul Babeu is my sheriff. I'll proudly vote for him next time I get the opportunity.

The sheriffs believe Attorney General Eric Holder needs to be held accountable. Documents from the DOJ show Holder was informed about the operation as early as July 2010, but Holder told Congress in May that he had just learned of it.

I saw Paul Babeu on Lou Dobbs’ show last night. He said all the sheriffs in Arizona, a slight majority of whom are Democrats, are united in their demand for a special prosecutor. Babeu is the 2011 Sheriff of the Year elected by the National Sheriffs Association.

Later on I heard on FOX News that Fast and Furious was shut down after a whistle-blower's complaints became public. Had this scam not been exposed ATF might still be feeding firearms into the black market.
