“After reading hundreds of e-mails, I have made MY decision,” he wrote. “By pulling my opening Oct 3rd, You (ESPN) stepped on the Toes of The First Amendment Freedom of Speech, so therefore Me, My Song, and All My Rowdy Friends are OUT OF HERE. It’s been a great run.”

ONE OF THEM WAS MINE. SCREW THOSE BUTT KISSERS AT ESPN.

No biggie. I actually found the intro very annoying and turned the channel until kickoff. Since NBC landed the Sunday Night contract, their games have been much better, anyway. The Faith Hill intro is just as abrasive and I tune it out, as well.

Stupid move. Stupid, stupid move ESPN. If he had said that about Pres. Bush he’d be a hero today. Your bias is showing ESPN.

I think I am done watching ESPN.

That will be hard for me, although I felt the same way when they booted Rush.

I think I'll start by just turning down the sound.

"The thought of the leaders of both parties jukin and high fiven on a golf course, while so many families are struggling to get by simply made me boil over and make a dumb statement,"

Hank was right on, although using Hitler to make his point, probably wasn't the best way to do it.

Did the DNC part ways with MoveOn.org when they ran a television ad comparing Bush to Hitler?

Did MSNBC fire Rachel Maddow when she defended the MoveOn.org ad comparing Bush to Hitler?

Did the DNC reprimand Congressman Keith Ellison D-MI when he compared Bush to Hitler?

I love Hank, but agree with you there. The classic intro gives me goosebumps and I was really disappointed when it was scaled back.

I like Hank, and I like what he said while on TV with the faux three stooges….

What I do not understand is…why do so many of these people make admirable and bold statements and then apologize?????

Is there a trend here?

Are they being systematically threatened somehow? Do they all lack the courage of their convictions? If so, are they too disappointed and surprised (at themselves).

Smell something “fishy” in all of this, folks?????

In any case, Hank Williams Jr... another American folk hero!

MNF sucks now anyway. The games aren’t very good, the announcers are GARBAGE, and the fact you HAVE to have cable to watch it is asinine.

I applaud HWJr for standing firm regarding the Constitution. Still, it bears repeating for all such entertainers: Shut up and sing!

And I thought The History Channel was "The Hitler Channel."

My interest in the NFL has gone from high to nil over the past decade. Too much flash, too PC, too much like a corporate enterprise.

If I want to watch football I'll watch college.
