Hey people, help me here. I want to like the guy, he is against the green Nazis and against the feds when it comes down to over regulations.
But is he a One Worlder? Does he cater to the open border movement? Does he see that foreign nationals are fighting for our jobs? Does he see that foreign nationals cost us? Does he see that foreign nationals in our schools are demoralizing our own children and dumbing them down?
Close that damn border, and it can happen with a simple E-Verify enforcement.
We need a military frontier, just as Hungary needed a military frontier against the Turks.
I propose the occupation of Baja California and Northern Mexico to a line Tampico-Guadalajara-Puerto Vallarta. This area would be placed under American military government until such time as the cartels were demolished and a secure frontier 50 miles into Mexico was created. The territory between Texas-NM-AZ and the 50 mile line would be annexed, as would Baja California. Former citizens of Mexico living in this area who spoke English would be allowed to enlist in the US Frontier Corps, and awarded citizenship after six years of satisfactory service. Those who wanted to leave, or to retain Spanish, would be evacuated into the remaining Mexican territories.
Persons on foot or in motorized transport would not be allowed to approach within 1 mile of the military frontier from the South. US nationals would not be allowed to enter the military frontier from the North, except on official business or to make deliveries.
Mexican nationals living in the 50 states and the District of Columbia with appropriate visas and work permits could remain only if they renounced Mexican nationality and the Spanish language. Mexican nationals living on US territory without visas or work permits would be deported.
Problem solved.

E-Verify is a federal program. I suppose you want more federal oversight into states? Rick Perry opposes it because it's Big Brother stepping into states' rights.
More proof that Perry is anti-federal government intrusion into our lives. A true conservative is Rick Perry.
Although we do not necessarily hold you completely responsible for the inexcusable actions of the House and Senate members during the regular and special sessions,
I didn't intentionally leave that part out. I've been posting excerpts of this letter and the link to it for a week now, and have pasted that part into responses a couple of times.
That said, posting that excerpt in gigantic bold print is intentionally taking it out of context to support your contention that Perry is blameless for the sad state of Texas with regards to illegal immigration.
He's not blameless, hence that hard-edged letter to him from the Texas Tea Parties.
I’ve haddit too, my friend. This is a few things I can think of.
He is not a One Worlder.
He is not open border at all.
He wants to bring Companies back to the US that moved to other countries. He can do it with lowering the corporate tax and less regulations.
Illegals in the schools is due to the Federal Government and the Supreme Court that require it.
E-Verify only catches about 50% of the illegals and it makes mistakes on people who are legit. Businesses are afraid of getting sued also.
I know this:
Back in 2002 the Texas Workforce Commission mailed a brochure that showed you how to use e-verify and Governor Perry supported at that time.
The TX Legislature did not even vote on it - the bill was stalled.
Perry pushed Voter ID (this was against the Hispanic Lobby) and it passed.
He pushed for the Sanctuary City bill (that was against the open border lobby) - Legislature didn’t pass it. He called a special session (In Texas, only the Governor can do this) and he put the Sanctuary City Bill back on the table (In Texas, only the Governor can put bills on the special session to be considered). They again, did not pass it. I heard him say in one of his speeches recently that he was disappointed they did not pass it.
Our Tx Legislatures are cowards and are up soon for re-election + they were influenced by lobbyist.
He pushed for showing birth certificate or proof of citizenship to acquire Driver License and it did pass.
But a Federal Court has sued and put it on hold.
He has spent 400 million of our Texan Taxpaying Dollars on securing that border. He put the Texas National Guard on the border. He put the Texas Rangers Recon Squads (Bad Ass!) on the border too. He put some Tx Troopers on the border too. (BTW: They shoot back)
He has petitioned Obama dozens of times.
He met with Obama when he got off a plane and personally handed him a letter regarding the needs of Texas for border security (Obama swiftly handed it off to Jared).
In 05 he implemented Operation Linebacker which gave manpower and equipment to local law enforcement.
The latest operation, Border Star, provided coordination between state, federal and local law enforcements and
$110 million was funded for the efforts.
The Governor sent $4 million to cities in the state to assist in criminal justice to combat gang violence.
In 2009, Perry got $10 million in funding for anti-gang efforts.
In 09, Perry formed the “bad ass” extremely skilled Texas Ranger Recon Teams which included Rangers, TX National Guard Counter drug forces, Tx Highway Patrol teams and
DPS Aviation assets so as to combat against threats
that were ever increasing on the border.
He has petitioned Napolitanao and Secretary Gates for guard and drones.
Regarding illegals already here in the state: we prosecute the ones who commit crimes but the Fed goes easy on them and puts them back on the streets. We are not allowed to enforce immigration laws (think Arizona who got sued by the Federal Gov) and we are not allowed to deport.
We are however, required to educate and provide medical care for illegals per Fed and Supreme Court.’
And then of course, our Federal Government through the ATF is running guns to the cartel across the border.
It’s a war on the border and it’s a war with Wash DC for Texas. Perry and Texans are trying very hard to secure a border for the entire nation with mostly all our own resources and money even though it is the Fed Gov job and it is an international border.
As Chief Executive Officer of the US Military and not requiring Congress approval - He can and he will secure the border with the most common sense way - strategic fencing in some areas, many many boots on the ground, equipment, high tech cameras and equipment, drones etc.....
You want that border secure?
Then Rick Perry, as President of the United States, is the border crossing criminal’s worst nightmare - I guarantee it.
And has a heart, a big generous heart. Bless his heart.
But Windflier, with all due respect, they are blaming him for bills that our Texas Legislature just simply refuse to pass. And they are refusing to pass them because they are afraid for their re-election thinking they will lose the hispanic voter. They won’t but that is the situation.
What they probably want him to do is call another special session.
What we Texans and Tea Party members need to do is vote those legislatures out and put stronger conservatives in office.
Perry cannot be a dictator.
But as President, he can put the boots on the ground and the equipment to secure the border that will alleviate some of the immigration problems we are facing now.

You are absolutely right: Perry has more experience being PRO-MEXICO THAN PRO-AMERICA! He pushed for the Trans-Texas Corridor against public outcry and he constantly tries to find new ways to give illegal aliens incentives to find their way here.

Yes. I do support Perry. But I’d support Cain, or Palin, or Newt...even Romney (I just threw up a little in my mouth) if it came down to it.
