What about the suspected thugs who may have sabotaged the rails out that way just this week?

"tactics that have been a rarity in recent labor disputes"

Bull !

What about the WI tactics, and the Trumka call for assaulting Tea Party members?

These are "mundane" tactics?

The guards should be armed, and shoot on sight to protect themselves and the property, period. You won't get memebers of the Police Union to enforce or protect against Union Members.

Thanks Judge Leighton. If these thugs have enough money to pay union dues and the time screw off pulling this kind of crap, they surely can pay a few fines for their idiocy.

These people should be in azz-bangin’ prision, not ‘fined’ where the payment will be made for them by the government (Obama - in future give backs)......PRISON...

Wait, the real fight is between WHICH of two unions gets the loot, er, to represent the workers?

So I guess Washington is NOT a right to work state?

Better answer is to dump the unions entirely, let the willing work for whatever wage is freely negotiated between adults without “Union” thuggery.

Union = Forced inflation for the consumers due to artificially high wages and benefits.
Cut unions = Cut our expenses, make what pay the rest of us earn go further.
These thugs are screwing around with our FOOD!

I thought kidnapping/false imprisonment was a felony that gets prison time, not just a fine.

Its a start slap on the wrist...

Some of these union thugs should be in jail for multiple felonies.

$250,000 is nothing compared to the damage this union is doing. If the judge had any integrity he would order criminal prosecution of the people in charge of this. These people need to be put in prison.

I don’t understand why the judge “rounded down” the penalty.

http://judgepedia.org/index.php/Ronald_Leighton

"Ronald Leighton is a federal judge for the United States District Court for the Western District of Washington. He joined the court in 2002 after being nominated by President George W. Bush.

$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

Elections have consequences. If a few hundred Freepers in Florida sat out the 2000 elections because "W is a RINO", this ruling wouldn't have happened. Gore's nominee would have found for the Union, and ordered 55% of the company stock turned over to the ILWU.
