"The company has a zero-tolerance policy in this regard." Charlie Brown and Sally? Unlikely, it is with Linus.

It means he had relations with a woman at the company. It is the only PC reason for termination. You know it wasn’t a homosexual issue or they wouldn’t have the guts for the termination.

This is fairly unusual. I thought personnel matters were ‘confidential,’ so hope the CEO didn’t open himself and the company up for litigation. Can’t imagine this wasn’t run by a team of lawyers. Nothing to indicate if the inappropriate relationship was hetero or homo.

Charlie’s comments afterwards were, “Why is everybody always picking on me?”

Another poster was right: they would have handled this privately had the improper relationship been with a same-sex lover.

Companies are very sensitive about relationships between management and employees because if things go badly they can be hit with expensive lawsuits as well as EEOC hassles. All the drama is very bad for morale, too. These things aren’t even that good an idea between managers at the same level of responsibility, and when a manager is having an affair with someone further down the food chain, it can really be a mess.

I always thought Peppermint Patty played for the other team (and I’m not talking about baseball).

Did you read the one comment from the newspaper’s site? “THERE IS NO REASON WHY ANYONE SHOULD MAKE THIS MUCH MONEY AND NOT PAY AT LEAST 50% OF IT IN TAXES.”
