Christie really seems to enjoy sticking it to the libs. I find it enjoyable to watch their heads explode when he gives it back to them - especially the teachers that were bitching and complaining.
If Jersey folks could just bring him around to the right side of their gun rights...Not gonna happen, but it’s nice to think about.
“But from my understanding, Christie is left on the social issues.”
It is true that Gov. Christie has expressed support from some forms of gun control, something with which I disagree, but we really can’t expect someone running for governor in New Jersey to be 100% pro-gun. And in the unlikely event that he runs for president this year, he will likely reassure conservatives that he does not believe that the gun-control laws whose maintenance he supported in NJ should be enacted by the federal government, just like Romney claims that he supports Romneycare for MA but wants to repeal Obamacare at the federal level, and how Romnet supports the Texas Dream Act that gives in-state tuition to illegal aliens but opposes federal amnesty for illegal aliens.
Next time bring donuts...?
Very anti-second Amendment, gun grabber tendencies.
Very cozy appointing Muslims Judges in N.J.
If you can go with that, his bumper sticker deserves to be on your car, not mine.
Christie might enter with a bang, but he would fizzle just as fast. The Republican Party has to stop feeding the RINOs.
Christie is so far left, he supports the 9-11 Victory Mosque, appoints Sharia judges, etc....
Mark Levin absolutely despises Christie.
So why don’t we call out the people that are making up these lies...
I have heard credible unconfirmed reports (through un named sources) that Bill Kristol was found in his office reading the Drudge Report over the weekend with his pants at his ankles...ie Christie may run headline
“Not fit to be president, literally & figuratively.”
I like the guy. He says it like it is , which is really refresing.
Maybe the reason he won’t run is he knows some a-H@le will start up with the fat jokes.
He sucks up to the Muzzies, favors strict gun control...not a conservative in a number of areas.

Agreed, why would I vote for a cheap version of a liberal? He wants the same thing real liberals want just wants to be a cheap skate about it.
Really, you Party Boys and liberals, enough, you had your run from 88 to now, give it a rest for once.
At least he has the integrity to not run after he said he’s not running. He’s a RINO for sure, but he’s an honest RINO.
I personally like him...but not for president.
“I personally like him...but not for president.”
Agreed. He’s somebody I could enjoy dinner with, but all he’d accomplish as president is to slow the fall - not stop it.
The RINOs are in a panic that Romney can’t deliver. They’re thrashing around for alternate candidates - Giuliani, Pataki, Christie, Huntsman. Who’s next?
Maybe you should have written “But from my understanding, Christie is left on the social issue” (not “issues”), since you really can’t say that he’s a social liberal when he’s pro-life and pro-marriage.
We each draw our own line in the sand, I guess. Personally, I don’t think we could possibly nominate a presidential candidate who was not pro-life; that doesn’t mean that any Republican who is pro-life would be acceptable irrespective of other issues (the late Massachusetts Republican Congressman Silvio Conte was pro-life, but was liberal on most everything else, and would be absolutely unacceptable as a Republican presidential nominee), but it is a minimum condition for a candidate that I could support. For you, I guess it’s being 100% pro-gun. That’s your right, of course, but you are deeming a lot of otherwise conservative candidates, many of whom would not push for increased gun control or nominate gun-grabbers to SCOTUS (Christie wouldn’t do either thing), to be unacceptable.
The only perfect man is Jesus, and He’s not running. Not even Reagan was a perfect candidate. We’ve been picking among clearly imperfect GOP candidates since 1988, and it won’t be any different in 2012. I supported Gramm in 1996 (after he dropped out, I reluctantly switched to Dole to stop Buchanan or Alexander from winning); Keyes in 2000 (originally I had supported Quayle, but he dropped out well before Iowa); and Fred Thompson in 2008 (I didn’t have a candidate prior to his announcement; and after he dropped out, I reluctantly switched to McCain as the lesser of three evils). For 2012, while tempted to support Cain or Santorum, I was initially in Pawlenty’s camp, and after he fizzled and dropped out I am currently undecided. I would definitely consider Christie if he jumped in, although I would also consider Perry or one of the underfunded, less known candidates (such as Cain and Santorum) should they pick up steam. None of them are perfect, and I think that it would be a mistake to rule out someone such as Christie, who brings so much to the table, merely because his gun record, while pretty good for New Jersey, certainly leaves a lot to be desired (and would be atrocious for a candidate running for governor of TX, ID or even WV).
Forget Christie, he needs to represent the voters of one of the bankrupt Blue States not the 2/3 of the voters that don’t want to live/become dead Blue States! The stupid Republicans have no resemblance to Goldwater Republicanism, they are adrift and are well on the way to alienating the growing Conservative/Libertarian majority of voters. The real question is if this R party is even worth saving. Nominating a Romney or Perry will finish the R party. I’m approaching the point where the current R party is just as dangerous as the evil D party.
I think Romney or Palin picks Rubio, Perry picks Christie.
