No big deal.
It wasn’t chiefly for the sake of the airport security, but the sake of New York that Hefni got in trouble. Some TSA goon, who is a Federal agent only, apparently thought it in the scope of his or her duties to help enforce state law to the letter. Otherwise there would be no reason to have mentioned the tasers.
Hefni was released Friday evening without bail, and a TSA spokeswomen told the Times that “We do not believe this was related to terrorism.”
How dare the TSA be looking in his “checked” baggage — sounds like “racial profiling” to me. Somebody call the ACLU!!!!
