In a one-on-one backstage interview with The Brody File, presidential contender Newt Gingrich says the fact that the media has declared this a two-man race between Mitt Romney and Rick Perry is a, “combination of arrogance and stupidity.”

Poor Newt. He’s got more name recognition than anyone. Why didn’t he speak up for a candidate like Thad McCotter, who got squeezed out by this MEDIA created debacle? This will be two straight elections where the MEDIA will select the nominees before most of us ever get near a voting booth. ITS A DISGRACE!
Not “Obama and Biden”?
Newt discredited himself by falling for the global warming scam, and by his personal immorality. The best he could do now is to get out of the race and endorse Bachmann or Cain. His brain could be useful to their administration.

Like it or not, these races usually are portrayed as two-person -- or at most three-person -- contests.
Newt, Herman, Gary, Rick, and Jon are out of luck, just as Duncan, Rudy, Alan, Tom, Sam, and Jim or Chris, Joe, Dennis, and Mike, were last time.
Newt is particularly out of luck, because he's not a new face. Few people are going to suddenly discover that he's the candidate that they want. He's been around too long.

Damn straight. Good for Newt. Mark Levin has been harping on this recently. The rush by the media and Republican establishment to coronate one or two front-runners and dismiss the rest as no chance wannabes is an insult to the primary voters. Why even bother with a long primary process? Let’s just let Rove and his pals pick our nominees and we can all go back to our double-wides, tend to our Wal-Mart shopping lists, and cling to our guns and religion.

In the past few weeks, I have regained my respect to Newt.
My respect came back in the first debate when he took offense to the stupid “gatcha” questions. He certainly let it rip.
He is intelligent and not mealymouth like the rest.
He says it like it is.
A Santorun supporter? Now that’s an elusive creature, though not mythical like the Mittbot. I actually thought RS did very well in the last debate, but I think that is a minoruty opinion.
