These are excellent steps Mr Hawkins, and a good summary of the issue, including sleazy parties and businesses in the US who egregiously want the votes and the slave labor, all at the expense of the honest American.

Furthermore it is total BS that illegal aliens cannot be comprehensively deported; if they are denied their corrupt privileges they will leave. I know, I live among them. They will stay as long as they can cash in, and go back if they are denied such. And that is saying they are not necessarily evil people, but they are outright cheats on the American citizenry.

How can any honest US taxpayer, from the President of the US, to George Soros, to greedy company owners, to bleeding heart housewives, to hypocritical clergy, possibly endorse blatant cheating?

Even the so-called compassionate religious leaders, ministers, priests, are saying I want to appease my own guilt and express my own compassion using other people's (the US taxpayers') money. What a crock.

I have proposed and urged a program like the following for some time:

1. Announce a 90 day time period for any illegal to voluntarily come in and be deported. If they are not terrorists, criminals, or affiliated with any enemies of this nation, they would be able to get in line for legal immigration (like anyone else).

2. After 90 days we begin to seriously look for illegals of all types. Criminals and terrorists we catch are interred, and their hoime country's are billed for that internment until such time as they agree to jail them back at their homes.

3. Any other illegals are immediately deported and put on a no-immigration list where they can never immigrate to the United States. If they are caught a second time, they are interred as criminals and help build and maintain US infrastructure on work gangs.

4. Any company hiring illegal aliens is fined heavily and the managers involved are prosecuted criminally.

5. In the mean time we finish a secure, double fence with partol roads on the U.S. side and observation posts all along the border, backed up by the National Guard. (Here's a specific plan for that.)

6. We develop (if needed) a guest worker program that aloows people to legally get a work VISA of no more than 1-2 years for working at jobs that are made available first to American workers. If there are not takers a company can legally bring a guest worker in, but not their family. No welfare benefits, no citizenship benefits, just a simple work visa for no longer than 1-2 years at which time they must reapply for the process, allowing Americans to apply or other foreigners so interested. All said workers are registered federally, kept track of, and lose their permit and deported if they step out of line in the least.

IMHO, points 2-4 would cause most illegals who did not take advantage of point 1 to self-deport and the ones we would really have to "hunt" are the criminals, which we must do in any case.

Start by repealing the law written by Bobby Kennedy in 1968, and return to good sense. Felonious? out! Become a public charge before seven years have elapsed? Out! then proceed from there, with a fence, and in some places, mines.

There’s still a catch 22.

Obama is trying to dismantle E-verify with regulations....
He DOESN’T allow an employer to use E-verify until AFTER they have hired someone. The employer can be sued and heavily fined for violating that rule.

Obama’s team will ‘investigate’ any illegal, and if they find no record of violent crimes, plus if they have work history (and with the new job that is also true), they grant them a work permit.

Voila, the illegal gets his E-verify record corrected, and amnesty to stay here.

Obama also setup the ‘self check’ portion of E-verify so that any illegal can test out how good their “ID” is ahead of trying to use it.

Make any business owner who is caught hiring illegals pay every dime of the illegals family medical cost accruded during employment, car insurance, and taxes for the illegals on top of legal fees for their own prosecution!

Illegals are certainly a huge problem that we seriously need to deal with since we need the jobs and need to save the money they cost us.

The real border issue though is that we are rapidly importing the Cartel War into this country. The Mexican government has lost control of Mexico and various Cartels now control that country. We WILL be facing the same if we don’t wake up real quick.

Quadrupling the border patrol probably wouldn’t help that much.

Preventing them from getting jobs or renting apartments may be enough to do the trick in and of itself.
