What else is there?
Ron Paul will get us nuked by Iran.
Bachmann, who I like overall, just isn’t ready. She’s too naive on some issues.
Palin isn’t running, and probably won’t.
It's just my opinion, but of the people in the race:
- Huntsman is a democrat in sheeps clothing,
- Romney and Perry are corporate cronies (representing exactly how the left paints all republicans),
- Ron Paul is ... Ron Paul (lots of good points with a little loose cannon thrown in),
- Bachmann, Cain, and Santorum are clearly We the People,
- And then there is Gingrich ... who has decidedly won the debates to date, says the right conservative things, and would make a fine leader --- but doesn't exactly have a trustworthy track record
I have a great deal of respect for Bachmann as she did not bow before Boehner and get her "ass in line" to support the budget atrocity. She held her ground (in the face of cronies from her own party) to represent us. That amazes me. And I have no doubt that Cain, running this government like a business, would trim the fat weighing us all down. Santorum, though without a commanding personality, is right on just about every issue. I would rather throw any one of them in the deep in end and see if they can swim than let Romney or Perry float by in a corporate yacht. And if the nation cannot choose among those three, I'd even give Gingrich a second chance before I'd allow the left to be right about us -- that we're the party of fat cat country club corporate crony-ism.
