Giuliani assails Obama on terrorism [Republican Response 9/10/11]
YahooNews ^ | Sept. 10, 2011 | Staff

Former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani, speaking for his fellow Republicans ten years after the September 11th attacks, denounced President Barack Obama's handling of national security on Saturday.

Giuliani, giving the party's weekly address, notably blasted Obama's decision to withdraw some 33,000 US troops from Afghanistan by September 2012 and bring home all combat forces by 2014.

"Perhaps the most dangerous impulse we've developed since September 11 is impatience demonstrated by the calls to put our armed forces on timetables," said the former mayor, hailed for his take-charge response to the attacks.

...And he blasted "the inappropriate decision-making and irrational application of political correctness in the attack at Fort Hood," the army base in Texas where US Army Major Nidal Hasan alleged killed 13 people in a shooting spree.

I know Giuliani is not popular on FR, and he certainly is no perfect conservative, but he is a hell of a man, a hero, and one of the best spokespeople we have on many critical conservative issues. He applied many true conservative solutions to the NYC government, adding many levels of accountability and performance measures to ensure the city’s employees do their jobs effectively, and eliminating the ineffective.

On foreign policy and strength on the post 9/11 war on radical islam, he is fantastic. We need to tip our cap when it is due. Rudy was a great hero during and after the 9/11 attacks.

I know the lurkers are waiting and watching to see if I will get banned for posting this message from Giuliani but I don’t care. I listened to him this morning and I would vote for him for President in a heartbeat. He has got it right about fighting against the jihad and FOR freedom.

His conservative solutions are that the social issues should be decided state by state. Is that so bad? Is he wrong?

And you are right that he cleaned up NYC and did so with a firm and sure hand.

I didn’t post this to campaign for him but because he is, right now, a lone voice versus the current usurper and I appreciate that the GOP chose Giuliani as their spokesman on this solemn weekend.

The difference between Obama’s response to Ft. Hood massacre and the Gillibrand massacre tells me all I need to know about Obama. His Muslim roots show in all things.

Bloomberg would have banned airplanes and spent his time making sure there was no salt in any of the meals donated to the rescue workers.

2008 Giuliani was all about saying one thing and doing another. Giulie kept “saying” he would NOT enter early primaries and caucuses (where those dreaded conservatives lurked). But he entered and lost all of them. Giulie said he was “saving himself” for Fla where all the New York snowbirds spend the winter.....registered to vote in two locations. Giulie campaigned 63 days straight in Fla and came in a distant third. He spent about $60 million and got zero delegates.

Perry’s campaign MO is looking more and more like Loser MO Giuliani used. Perry DID NOT enter Iowa——but manipulated the vote from afar. That strategy was supposed to put him over the top. Instead he got 700-800 votes....while Iowa winners who did the right thing-—spending time and money there-—— got 4000 votes each. The Perrydactyl's "said" Ricky won Iowa. And there Perry was----front and center---waving to Iowans, taking pics in front of prominent Iowa banners---manipulating people to make them think he was the winner.

Same with the debate---manipulating people, to make them think he was the winner....when he screwed up royally. Even though I am not a Perry supporter, I felt sorry that he could not come up with cogent answers. Several of his responses were non sequiturs and he repeated himself couple times. Perry dropping "g's" was also disconcerting, as were the hesitations and struggles to find the correct word.

For an unabashedly proud law-and-order man bragging about relentless Texas executions, Perry is too blasé about the real threats to Americans by law-breaking illegals who fill our jails. Perry's illegal-coddling is an outrage----when we know illegal crimes are vast and savage AND directed towards innocent Americans.

I remember the “clean up” Rudy did to NYC. I was born in the Bronx in 1970 and we moved to Long Island in 1980.

When we lived in the Bronx we would never think of going to NYC. That toilet just got dirtier and dirtier.....until Rudy stepped in.

EVERYONE hated him for his “clean up”, when I say “clean up” I mean it both literally and figuratively. He took that dump and made it into the great bustling city is USED to be.

Bloomturd is destroying that bit by bit. Too bad. It used to be a nice place to visit, but the bums are back. I only go there now for a Tea Party, a mooslimb mosque protest or to catch an Amtrak to DC.

Go live in another country, why doncha. Oh, try Libya or Egypt for example. I’m sure they will let you post on FR from there and you can tell us all about it.

Otherwise, your “opinion” of Giuliani is worthless on this 10th anniversary of 9/11. And why bring Perry into it? But, like the liberals, you can’t pass up an opportunity to aggrandize your “point of view,” whether it’s an appropriate time and occasion or not.

Feh!

"American security requires a long-term military presence in the part of the world where people and organizations are plotting to kill us,"

Projected business revenues for Giuliani's enterprises must be declining.

Perry endorses Giuliani's 2008 bid for president.

Does Giuliani still have that Texas-based law firm, Bracewell & Giuliani? And does Bracewell & Giuliani still have two offices in Kazakhstan......which is a former Soviet Union state, the only Central Asian country sharing borders with both Russia and China, a with states of nuclear-transit significance such as Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, and Kyrgyzstan?

================================================

REFERENCE Circa 2/07 Washington Post notes that Giuliani Capital Advisors “was sold for an undisclosed amount as Giuliani was preparing his run for president.” The Post article also discloses that Giuliani’s secretive lobbying firm, Giuliani Partners, has made more than $100 million over the last five years and that its clients “are required to sign confidentiality agreements, so they do not comment about the work they receive or how much they are paying for it.

Though now running for president, Giuliani refuses to identify his clients, disclose his compensation or reveal any details about Giuliani Partners. He also declined to be interviewed about the firm.” The paper provided some details, based “on a review of corporate, government and court records, along with scores of interviews with clients and government officials who have interacted with Giuliani Partners.”

===========================================

More accurately, Giuliani is selling one of the several businesses he is involved in, revolving around investment banking, global security, and international legal representation. Giuliani companies (that we know of) include:

(1) Giuliani Capital Advisors, LLC (AKA Giuliani Partners LLC),

(2) Giuliani Group,

(3) Giuliani-Kerik (re-named Giuliani Security and Safety, after the departure of the tainted ex-Police Commissioner),

(4) Giuliani-Van Essen, and,

(5) Bracewell & Giuliani LLP law firm (based in Texas with global interests).

Questions are being raised over Republican presidential candidate Rudy Giuliani's policy on terrorism, after a report revealed he has strong ties to two foreign investment consortia working to own or lease U.S. toll roads, including the Mexican--Trans-Texas Corridor 35, which is identified as part of the I-35 "NAFTA Superhighway." --SNIP--

REFERENCE Bracewell & Giuliani Firm Advises Spain's Cintra in First Privatization of Toll Road in Texas

DALLAS Bracewell & Giuliani LLP advised Cintra Concesiones de Infraestructuras de Transporte, S.A., a Spanish transportation company, in its successful bid to develop State Highway 121 into a toll road through Collin and Denton counties.

The award to Cintra, approved by the Texas Transportation Commission, is the first privatization of a Texas toll road. Bracewell is acting as project counsel to Cintra with respect to the 50-year concession from the Texas Department of Transportation. Cintra will pay a $2.1 billion upfront and annual lease payments totaling $700 million. "Cintra was awarded this project because of its proven expertise and competitive proposal," said Thomas O. Moore, partner with Bracewell & Giuliani. "This is the largest transportation deal of 2007. This is one of only five deals in the country."

Three firms have competed for the Comprehensive Development Agreement for State Highway 121 since last summer. The proposals were reviewed and scored based on selection criteria set forth by the Regional Transportation Council, the metropolitan planning agency for the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

This CDA is a public-private partnership that allows the provider to handle all facets of developing the toll road, including completing construction and operating and maintaining the corridor.

Cintra, a subsidiary of Grupo Ferrovial specialized in toll roads and car parks, is one of the world's leading private-sector developers of transport infrastructure.

TX governor Perry rapped for paving way for construction of Trans-Texas Corridor
One News Now | August 24, 2007 | Chad Groening
FR Posted on 08/25/2007 by Tolerance Sucks Rocks

Texas Governor Rick Perry is being called to task by an author and investigative journalist for vetoing bills that would have blocked construction of the controversial Trans-Texas Corridor--- which will be part of a superhighway -- purported to be four football fields wide -- that will allow Mexican trucks to enter the U.S. and traverse the core of the country all the way to Canada.

Governor Perry cleared the way for construction to begin in Texas when he vetoed several bills passed by the Legislature that would have stalled the project.

The Texas Legislature voted a two-year moratorium, and voted a redefinition of eminent domain -- Perry vetoed them. [On] at least one of those measures, he waited until the Texas Legislature was out of session so it couldn't even override his veto. The Federal Highway Administration's lawyer wrote letters threatening the Texas Legislature to cut off federal highway funds if they got in the way of this Trans-Texas Corridor.

NOTE Perry used eminent domain to take property from Texans to give to Cintra Concesiones de Infraestructuras de Transporte, S.A., a Spanish transportation company, in its successful bid to develop State Highway 121 into a toll road through Collin and Denton counties (the "trade road" is four football fields wide).

Approved by the Texas Transportation Commission, it is the first privatization of a Texas toll road. Bracewell & Giuliani LLP (Rudy Giuliani's Texas-based law firm with global connections) is acting as project counsel to Cintra with respect to the 50-year concession from the Texas Department of Transportation.

Perry endorsed Giuliani, Palin endorsed Rand Paul, DeMint endorsed Romney.

You sure are pathetic, getting worked up over endorsements and posting spam that no one reads. Your life must be so meaningless if that is what you care about.

YOU all by yourself demonstrated who you are by your liberal trash talk about 'brain-damaged' clueless spammer. YOU can go pound the proverbial sand.

Extremely weak McCainiac thinking.

This is totally out of touch with the concerns of American people in regards to Obama’s domestic war on terror which he has made into a war on the American people he and his communist pals hate and against all of our constitutional rights and governance in the name of “safety.”

In the tradition of this country’s Leftist termites, Obama has taken up the cause of Islam aggression against the Americans and our freedom in the name of appeasing Islamic aggression. Political correctness is what Obama has installed and it led to the murder of Fort Hood soldiers and it will lead to more terror attacks in the US.

The war on terror has been expanded beyond the military. Obama, in his complete disrespect and hatred of America, has turned Homeland Security against America. It would have been fine for him to inform the public that if Obama only leaves 3,000 troops in Iraq, they will be in danger when radicals/Iran attacks and that 10,000 are needed for them to be able to survive attacks in that country.

The GOP’s constant, mindless war mongering favored by McCain has to stop. We have allies to protect. We have ourselves to protect. What the heck are we doing in Lybia helping radical Muslims take over that country and it’s weapons in a civil war? So the Islamists can conduct wars with State power against Israel and the US? That is mindless, kneejerk abuse of our military and an politically correct, insane pro Islam foreign policy installed by Obama and abetted by McCain.

Giuliani’s message is what we need to hear today; it worked for me.
If you listened to ALL of his message this morning, Giuliani does NOT support Obama’s approach.
I looked for the transcript but the leftist search engines google and yahoo make it difficult.
If you can find the entire transcript or recording, let me know.
