My hat is off to you sir for upholding FReeperville’s finest tradition of blithely posting away willy-nilly as it were without clicking on the link first.
Without your unstudied dedication actual facts might come to light making life uncomfortable for many hiding unmentionable secrets, crimes and even record temperatures!
Oh wait ... is that a good thing? Night night. ;-)

After Dick Trickle retired he invented that thing to turn your lights on remotely. I think it was called ‘The Clapper’./sarc.

At this rate, well, my state (DE) will have a really hard time actually beating its own record, except through some freak event.

It looks like you’re supporting Gore. Can you give the ‘records’ for last year? Or the year before?

supporting Gore? Did you read the list? 25 of the 50 hottest dates are in the 1930’s.
Yes, the records are up to date.

Going through a brutal temperature spike, AKA the ‘end of summer kiss my arse’ from Mother Nature here in southern Wisconsin. Then on to SANER fall temps again by the weekend...
I’m so ready for it! I love fall and winter. :)

25 out of the 50 states had their record high temperature in the 1930s!I lived through the '30's in SW Oklahoma. Summers were hot, and we had no air conditioning and few fans. I remember 1934 as being the most miserable.

Both my parents have talked about the summer of 1936 many times. And the winter before and after were rough winters, I believe.
