Here's more news on something we've been hearing all week:
Tea Party supporters like Rick Perry.
A new poll from Gallup shows that the Texas governor has 35 percent support among Republicans who identify themselves members of the Tea Party movement.
The same poll shows Rep. Michele Bachmann and former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney tied with 14 percent support among the same group of voters.
It's a trend that's been developing since Perry entered the race on Aug. 13. MPR has more on the subject here.
A look back at a similar poll conducted in July shows that Perry's really shaken up the race. A month ago, before Perry announced his bid, Romney held a slight edge over Bachmann among Tea Party supporters, 29 percent to 23 percent.
What's also interesting about this poll is how Perry fares with voters when it comes to specific issues. He has 25 percent support among Republicans who say business and the economy are their most important issues. Bachmann comes in a distant fourth after Romney and Texas Rep. Ron Paul with 8 percent support.
Perry also eclipses her among voters who say social or moral values are their priority with 38 percent support; Bachmann has 10 percent support.

ANYBODY.
Good news.
But Mitt Perry is THE ONE dammit!!!!!!!!
LOL
I’ll take a Perry.
Over their damn Barry!
Who is "They" in your opinion? It seems the article suggests that "They" is the 'Tea Party'.
No, people want proven leaders who don’t quit.
He said:
We must say to every Texas child learning in a Texas classroom, we dont care where you come from, but where you are going, and we are going to do everything we can to help you get there.
And that vision must include the children of undocumented workers.

You have to believe that any tea party supporter that supports Romney must be doing so because they believe he is more electable than the others. But with Perry on the scene now, those have started to move to Perry and most likely there will be many more to come. Romney is beyond toast at this point.
ANYBODY.
Agreed.
If Palin runs, it'll be entertaining to see how the MSM will attempt to constantly run fake polls showing her far behind Romney, Perry, etc. They'll label Palin as 'toxic' and never stop saying that she 'can't win'. Then they'll hope Republican voters fall for it so another RINO can capture the Republican presidential nomination, ensuring that, even if Obama loses (likely, no matter who the GOP candidate is) little will change in Washington. Sarah Palin must know this and, if she runs, will thwart the MSM, I'm sure. The MSM is pretty sure too, so they keep pretending that Palin won't run and ignore her as much as possible. That won't last long. September is almost here.
Knowing full well he would be. Applying your shallow reasoning, that means the choice would be between a quitter and a liar.
Oh CC, you are precious.
Perry is a big government republican, we will rue the day if he is sworn in as president, ditto for Mitt from Mass.
And lets not forget St Rick’s desire for bi-national health care to help poor “border dwellers”. That’s something the tea party has been pushing for all along. LOL
These threads always turn into Palin vs. Perry pissing contests.
Sarah Palin is not in the race yet.
If and when she gets in then we all will have to choose between the two.
In the meantime it is worth noting that the air has gone out of Herman Cain, Michele Bachmann is fading, Ron Paul remains the choice of only a small (if loud) sliver of the GOP electorate, Mittens can no longer be described as the “frontrunner”, and no one else matters.
Apologies for the late post-troll ping.
