Why isn’t Crazy Maxine in prison yet?
The terrorists say America is “the great satan”, Waters and her ilk basically narrow that to “the tea party is the great satan”, because we’re the last defenders of the founders and the constitution we cherish and they despise, and a clear danger to their leftist infrastructure and dreams of despotism.
People should be prepared for a backlash in case of a conservative victory. A month of food and water. And if you have not a sword, sell your cloak and buy ye one.
“Waters blamed the group for making things worse for working people”
Oh, do tell, Maxie. And what have you done for your district and their huge unemploynebt figures since you have been representing them and had control of Congress for the last 24 years before last november? Me thinks you are taking your own district straight to hell—and you do know the way.
OOps—24yrs should be 4.
Ha Ha....she’s been in politics for decades...and it’s the tea party’s fault? Ha ha.
That's a foolish rule an a deadly one.
Rule #1 of living a long healthy life: Quit jobs that are killing you.
So your designs are detrimental to the greater good?
Mad Max is just pissed because she and the Dems can’t spend spend spend with reckless abandon as easily as they did before 2010.
Her head will explode after the 2012 election. Heck, she might even quit. (pipedream)
Close...Mad Max represents South Central LA. The Crips and the Bloods are her constiuency.
I never said that. Please do not attribute positions to me which I do not hold. The greater good is an externality that is not covered in the compensation from my employer.
I was a bit harsh calling the guy an idiot, but what I said still is true. As a religious person you know that your value does not flow from others or yourself but from God. In a tough situation that is hard to believe on a daily basis. But you have to.
The advice I give to college grads who can’t find a job and feel rejected is to make themselves valuable to someone or several people. To themselves by continuing to search. Keep learning by reading (not all novels) or taking inexpensive adult classes.
If the person can find an unpaid internship in the career they want, take it. My daughter did two of those and both led to good things. Ask people if they know of any company looking for someone to do some work just for the experience.
Volunteering to visit people, bring them books, read to them if they have trouble. Help people in the neighborhood who can’t get around. Grocery shopping, lawn mowing, driving them places. If they are handy, they might help them fix things around the house and yard.
At the end of the day, the person may not have earned a nickel, and maybe even had to spend money to help someone, but they were important to someone. They never know what might come of it. Maybe nothing. Certainly, they should feel good about what they did. They may not realize how important they are to the person they helped. That person is looking forward to seeing them again.
Then, when the interview comes and the person asks, “How long have you been looking for work?” Answer might be “A year” or whatever. The next questions might be, “So what have you been doing?” Then they can tell them if they have been doing a lot. The worst answer, of course, is “Looking for a job, but not much else.”
If you are still looking for work, you might be doing all these things already, but if not, I imagine there are some people in your neighborhood or church that could use some help.
Also, of course, when they ask what you have been doing, I am pretty sure they will be blown away if you can report a full calendar of various productive things for most days.
The tendency is to get discouraged, depressed, and end up doing nothing. But you need to be important to yourself.
If you have the kind of job your need, congratulations.
BTW, I do go to church. I sometimes get impatient with people and say things I shouldn’t say. I do thank God multiple times a day for my family, my job, my health, and my good fortune.
