Former Democratic National Committee Chairman Howard Dean predicted that prominent political supporters of former President George W. Bush will deal a critical blow to Texas Gov. Rick Perrys (R) presidential campaign.
The Bush people dont fool around, as you know, Dean said Tuesday night on MSNBC. You can say a lot of things about Bushs presidency and his failures as president, but one thing nobody should say [anything] bad about [is] his political team. They know what theyre doing, and they are ruthless, and they are going to take Perry out.
Deans comments come as a number of former Bush administration operatives have criticized recent comments Perry has made. Political strategist and Bush adviser Karl Rove said comments Perry made about Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke were not a presidential statement.

The readiness of Rove and other former Bush administration officials to criticize Perry illustrates a longstanding rift between the camps of the two Texas politicians.

I’m waiting for Perdogg to post FIVE (5) times in a row.
Ask Kay Bailey Hutchison how that worked out for them last time.
You know, that was a neat trick.
Post #19 has a timestamp BEFORE post #18.
Give Crazy Howie a little credit, folks.
(ok, very little. But...)
He was one of the first who dared to come out against THE MESSIAH! after his coronation.
I don't like him because he was a big government-spend money RINO and advised GWB down that road. I call him an elitist because he is in that "good 'ol boy" GOP club...and if you don't think he is...you are kidding yourself. He doesn't think people like Perry...or Bachman...or Palin...or any of that crowd need be there. It's reserved for Rockefeller Republicans. He's more interested in keeping up the pretenses of the "game" between Team R and Team D than actually detroying LIBERALS.
That is a FACT and THAT's why he's an elist.
CRAP OFF, HOWARD! Or should I say, CRAP ON, Howard?
It is a little baggy in the front.
Funny how we differ on this. I see that “club” as most interested in electing a republican and nominating one who will get elected, like Buckley’s famous quote. I don’t think we need a big schism in the loyal opposition now what with the alternative of destruction of this country with a second Obama term, but that is me.
Uhhhh... yeah?....
We know how ruthless Bush is. After all, he arranged the attack on 9/11/sarc
It is a little baggy in the front.
I do not like Rove and I believe he showed himself to be an elitist, country club type last election cycle. He criticised Christine O’Donnell, Sharon Angle and Sarah Palin more then he ever criticised any ‘Rat. He was behind the whole “new tone” civility thing for the ‘Rats, but apparently he does not believe in being civil to conservatives. To hell with Rove.
You are right on when it comes to the “blue blood” Republicans. I don’t trust any of them ... never did!
Although some say no one wants another Texan, I think there will be a huge “buyer remorse” constituency in this election.
I think there is a huge voting block that thinks along the following lines:
“Ya know, maybe I wasn’t totally rational when I picked Obama last time. I was just so mad at Bush! But Obama hasn’t delivered the goods. If fact, we seem worse off. Yeah, maybe the Iraq stuff was bad, but do I want the future here to look more like Texas or more like Chicago? This Perry guy seems to have it goin’ on. I need a job. I don’t care what his accent is.”
I can live with a President Perry and a Tea Party Congress.
LOL
“I do not like Rove and I believe he showed himself to be an elitist, country club type last election cycle.”
He’s worse.
I played Golf today with a very close friend of W and I asked him about Perry and he did not hesitate to say that W might have soured people against him.
Yes, she should take it off.
These criticisms of Perry are from the same Republican crowd that produced McCain. They believe deep in their hearts that the Democrats are the rightful rulers of the nation, ordained by God as it were, and that Republicans are only there to fix the bookkeeping from time to time. These folks get very nervous when they hear criticisms of the reigning or aspiring Demo-Autocrat by fellow Republicans. It is seen as some sort of sin in the full religious sense.
