I think it is so sad that something as refreshing and entertaining as the original "flash mob" concept (see examples here and here) have to get a bad name because of calling hoodlums who burn, rob and destroy by the same name.

I agree about the refreshing aspect of the "song and dance' type of flash performance art, which is simply the way free people act when creativity has not been outlawed by the National Insecurity State. My favorite is here --- brilliant--- and check out the reaction of the girl at 0:45, absolutely makes the whole thing worthwhile.

The flash looters need forcible suppression which is swift, stinging, and certain. They need to learn a lesson they will never forget.
