Rick Perry to delight climate sceptics by running for president
The Guardian ^ | Aug 12, 2011 | Lisa Hymas

The climate sceptics can finally get excited about the 2012 election: Rick Perry, their candidate of choice, is about to officially throw his hat in the ring.

Perry calls global warming "all one contrived phony mess that is falling apart under its own weight." Unlike many of the other GOP presidential candidates, he hasn't expressed concern about climate change in the past, so he won't have to do any back-pedaling. Notorious climate denier Marc Morano is a big fan: "Based on climate views alone, anyone who is holding their nose voting for Mitt Romney because there's no other viable candidate will now rejoice to have an option with Rick Perry."

Perry served as Al Gore's Texas campaign chair in the 1988 presidential race, just before switching his party allegiance from Democrat to Republican, but conservatives don't have to worry that Perry holds any residual affection for the former veep. "I've heard Al Gore talk about man-made global warming so much that I'm starting to think that his mouth is the leading source of all that supposedly deadly carbon dioxide," Perry said in 2007.

Climategate was not debunked. The Goebbels Warming crowd is
truly in denial. And good for Perry for being consistent on energy
and environment issues.

The article already stated that and I excerpted that paragraph, apparently you didn't read it: "Perry served as Al Gore's Texas campaign chair in the 1988 presidential race, just before switching his party allegiance from Democrat to Republican, but conservatives don't have to worry that Perry holds any residual affection for the former veep. "I've heard Al Gore talk about man-made global warming so much that I'm starting to think that his mouth is the leading source of all that supposedly deadly carbon dioxide," Perry said in 2007."

Good Lord, the press is really trying to push him on us! The last time they chose our nominee we ended up with McCain. No thanks.

I don’t understand whatthis article is talking about. I’ve yet to meet someone who denies there is such a thing as climate.

Perry supported Gore over twenty years ago. And? I’d be suspicious of anyone who thought the same things about Democrats as they did twenty years ago, after having two decades to think about it all.

FYI—Reagan was a Republican for less than two decades when he became president.

Amazing! So, Al Gore actually manufatured his Global Warming interest later in years. Geez! What a fake he is.

“I’ve yet to meet someone who denies there is such a thing as climate.”

LOL!

Perry’s pre-speech speech

http://www.politico.com/2012-election/

“He said the “arrogance and audacity” of the Obama administration “poses a threat to just about every private sector job out there.” He singled out the Environmental Protection Agency as an example of the way government regulation can hurt business and scare off jobs.”

BTW — Perry’s speech will be Sat 1 pm EDT and carried by Fox News and CNN.

I mean, what a dumb headline, huh?

I am a Palin supporter but Perry is, like Palin, actually SAYING the things that need to be said.

The other candidates either aren’t connecting, or they simply don’t have any kind of background necessary for the job. And we’ve had enough of that.

Thanks for the Perry links, and interested in reading as much about him as I can.

I look forward to hearing his speech today at 1 pm, I think that will be a big indicator about his candidacy and the kind of campaign he intends to run.

Glad that both FoxNews and CNN will carry it.

I think you will like this one too:

Perry to Republicans: Time to cut government

http://www.montgomeryadvertiser.com/article/20110813/NEWS02/108130341/Perry-Republicans-Time-cut-government

“Texas Gov. Rick Perry on Friday delivered a conservative message to Alabama Republicans on the eve of his expected presidential announcement, stressing the need to defeat President Barack Obama and reduce the size of government to make the country friendlier to job-creating businesses.

Perry called the federal government a “sprawling mess” that needs to be returned to the limited sized envisioned by the nation’s founders in the Constitution.”

Praise God! This whole "climate" thing is a hoax. There is no scientific proof that such a thing as "climate" exists. I think the "climate" theory was completely cooked up by Sunset Western Gardens to control people. To make us plant only certain trees, flowers and other vegetation in pre-determined "climate zones".

Praise be unto Rick Perry for not falling for this fraud.

I know there must be a reason why the flowers we see up near Lake Tahoe won't grow down here on the floor of The Sacramento Valley, but I know it has nothing to do with "climate".

"Climate"! Ha haaaaaaaa!
