Years of liberal dogma have spawned a generation of amoral, brutalised youngsters
Daily Mail ^ | 10th August 2011 | Max Hastings

"...A former London police chief spoke a few years ago about the ‘feral children’ on his patch — another way of describing the same reality.

The depressing truth is that at the bottom of our society is a layer of young people with no skills, education, values or aspirations. They do not have what most of us would call ‘lives’: they simply exist.

Nobody has ever dared suggest to them that they need feel any allegiance to anything, least of all Britain or their community. They do not watch royal weddings or notice Test matches or take pride in being Londoners or Scousers or Brummies.

Not only do they know nothing of Britain’s past, they care nothing for its present.

They have their being only in video games and street-fights, casual drug use and crime, sometimes petty, sometimes serious.

The notions of doing a nine-to-five job, marrying and sticking with a wife and kids, taking up DIY or learning to read properly, are beyond their imaginations..."

Best article on the Brit riots.

This was NOT caused by austerity welfare cutbacks, nor did it have anything to do with race or Islam.

These are the utterly unsocialized, welfare-suckled animals of which Theodore Dalrymple and Melanie Phillips have been going on about for years.

"We have plenty of ‘em in the USA as well!"

We have (so far) the Second Amendment to help us, praise God. (Am I the only one who has noticed an "uptick" in the number of perps being shot by property-owners? Such a good sign...)

Dalrymple is whom I have been reading and he is right on—it is the socialist system which is destroying all the traditional values that had made England a world power. He pins it not only on the welfare system, but on the intellectual elites of England—who promote their failed ideology in the schools and in media and in politics. (like Thomas Sowell did in his book on intellectuals and elites)

All their policies, starting with welfare, which in turn destroys the family and creates victims and their schools can’t teach core subject or the Classics like they use to and they dropped all standards in their schools. They expect nothing from the students, and they don’t discipline them at all.

They have destroyed the idea of God and morality and right and wrong. They teach kids—whatever feels good, do it (Herbert Marcuse—Marxist) and they demean all Christian ideology because Christianity teaches dignity and worth of each human being and that people have responsibilities and Duties, etc., and teaches self-reliance and caring for family.

Marxists want dysfunction because it funds their bureaucracies and makes them rich.

From the article: Of course it is true that few have jobs, learn anything useful at school, live in decent homes, eat meals at regular hours or feel loyalty to anything beyond their local gang.

"To Sir, with love" came out in the '60's. In the movie, Sidney Poitier did his best to instruct a class full of "students." Finally it became apparent that the best he could do was perhaps impart some life skills. Again, in the movie, a few of them were appreciative.

This has been ramping up since the end of WW2. It ain't going to go away over night.

And they would probably behave this same way if England was being bombarded by the Nazi’s.

“Nobody has ever dared suggest to them that they need feel any allegiance to anything, least of all Britain or their community.”

Affirmative action laws make it legal to openly discriminate against whites in general, and males in particular, in the United States. Tell me how me or my sons should feel allegiance to the United States? There is no reason for these Brits to feel anything but the fury they’re showing; they know how dim their future is, while our 18 year-olds are in denial.
